Banyan Treatment Center Philosophy
Banyan Treatment Center's mission is to help struggling drug addicts and alcoholics reach their goal of a healthy, happy and productive sober life through an array of treatment services provided by our licensed clinical and medical professionals.
Our drug and alcohol rehab programs provides an alternative to traditional inpatient / residential treatment or as a step down from a higher level of care. We emphasize and try to instill the importance of consistency, accountability, and responsibility along with the vital importance of a 12 step program in everybody’s daily lives to achieve the goal of permanent sobriety.
After going through his own difficulties battling the disease of addiction Bob Reynolds, Banyan's Director, spent many years working in the recovery community trying to give back by helping other suffering addicts and alcoholics. It was Bob’s vision to start an honest, clean and supportive community for people to recover in. This vision became a reality when he teamed up with a young investor who also had a passion for helping young adults gain the tools they need in order to succeed in life.
Areas of Specialization
Addiction recovery does not end with discharge after completing a rehab program. Facilities that offer aftercare planning and/or support work with patients to ensure sustainable recovery by helping to plan and make arrangements for transitional or sober living, help with housing, vocational counseling, etc.
This term describes one-on-one therapy, in which a patient and trained counselor, social worker, psychologist or psychiatrist meets privately with a patient to discuss challenges related to lifestyle, work, family and romantic relationships that may have contributed to the development of an addiction.
Client & Family Support Groups
Group therapy is a vital component of addiction recovery treatment, considered as important and effective (sometimes even more so) than individual therapy. Benefits include reducing isolation and loneliness and providing the opportunity to learn from others in recovery. In the addiction setting, group therapy is run by trained professionals who guide participants toward a shared goal of recovery.

This Massachusetts facility offers outpatient treatment for individuals struggling with substance abuse, and is located in an industrial zone in the suburban town of Wilmington, 15 miles north of Boston.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Banyan describes itself as a psychiatric and medical facility. The medical side of treatment is primarily covered through Vivitrol injections. Vivitrol is a medicine that blocks brain receptors that are activated by opioids; it can be used to reduce the likelihood of relapse on opioids or alcohol. The therapeutic side of the program consists of group, family, couples’, and individual therapy. The programs also emphasize long-term recovery and preventing relapse.
This center offers a partial hospitalization program (PHP), an intensive outpatient program (IOP), and general outpatient care. The PHP involves at least 28 hours of programming per week, and the IOP a minimum of 12 hours per week. Clients attending outpatient care outside of these treatment tracks attend one 90-minute group per week, plus more programming as required.
The center is open five days a week, and sessions are scheduled to suit a variety of schedules, including those who have daytime commitments. There is dedicated programming at all intensities — PHP, IOP, and general outpatient — for professionals, such as teachers, healthcare professionals, business executives, and legal professionals.
Upon completing treatment, all clients are welcome to join the alumni program, which helps them to stay connected to one another the recovery community.
