Bryan Independence Center Philosophy

Bryan Independence Center offers hospital-based treatment for individuals struggling with drug and alcohol addiction. The substance abuse rehab provides each client with a personalized plan for recovery based on 12-Step principles and effective, evidence-based practices. A comprehensive range of treatment activities are offered, including individual counseling, group therapy, family therapy, addiction education and relapse prevention, all designed to motivate clients and help them form a solid foundation for continued sobriety.

Areas of Specialization

  • Medical Detoxification
Drugs and alcohol have widespread effects throughout your body, including but not limited to the addiction and/or physical/psychological dependence that develops with substance abuse over time. Many organ systems are affected by addiction and will react to withdrawal. The term “medical detoxification” means that there is a trained and licensed medical professional onsite to monitor your vital signs and protect your physical and emotional health as your body goes through withdrawal.

  • Outpatient
Outpatient treatment describes all addiction treatment that is not residential. Patients live at home while undergoing rehab.

So if this is not a Christian boot camp, why the hek do we have to pray at the end of every lame meeting? Sounds like religion to me. Argue all you want but at the end of the day you make us chant "god, grant me the-" what was that first thing you said? Yeah.

The one on one counselling for dual addictions and mental incapabilities was great. No family day with counselors and patient. They have visitation; but nothing where we sit down with the counselor. this is a great facility about 50 miles outside of omaha. Ammenities and food are fantastic. counselors are great and my wife has been sober now for 6 months. life is a lot better in the household.

Group time was good, liked most of the people (leaders or teachers) I talked to during group. Very little communication. We had a few meetings per day otherwise we sat in our rooms and did nothing but dwell on our problems. Felt like the staff didn't really care. I feel this facility has the option to be more successful but they seem to just want to up the drugs on their patients and let them sleep/hang out alone in their rooms all day. I didn't feel I had anyone that I could open up to plus my communication with family was very limited. It was not really helpful in my recovery.
