Embark Recovery Center is owned and operated by individuals who have suffered from the disease of addiction first hand, and know the struggles our clients deal with day in and day out. Our vision is to give back to our community by leveraging our experience and providing the same opportunity for success that was given to us. Our staff shows our clients a path to recovery using proven methodologies, access to experienced professionals and by utilization of real life examples of their own successes.
Areas of Specialization
Facilities that offer “holistic therapy” see and treat patients in the context of their entire lives and health status. They treat the “whole person,” not just the addiction.
Research shows that the odds of successful, sustained recovery from addiction are far higher when family members and loved ones are involved in treatment. Drug and alcohol addiction often have genetic roots, whether related to substance abuse, mental illness or both. Family dynamics also play a role and, often, family members are the first to realize a loved one has developed an addiction. Also, it’s important for family members to understand and embrace the lifestyle changes that are required to sustain recovery.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
According to the facility’s website, Embark Recovery Center’s residential program provides clients with a safe, structured environment in a homelike setting. Along with primary treatment services, men also learn essential life skills such as budgeting, conflict resolution, emotion regulation, and employment training. One of the center’s primary treatment goals is to help clients find a job along with achieving sobriety.
Upon entry, all clients undergo an initial evaluation that helps inform a tailored treatment curriculum. When appropriate, medication management is available to assist with any psychiatric issues. With treatment based in the 12-Steps, programming features community-based AA and NA meetings, daily group therapy, weekly individual counseling sessions, trauma workshops, and relapse prevention education.
Recreational therapy is also integral to the center’s treatment plan, and men participate in weekly adventure outings, which may include equine therapy and hiking the nearby area. Upon completion of the residential program, residents may enroll in the IOP track as a step-down service. Referrals to sober living homes in and around Prescott are also available.
The center’s website indicates Embark Recovery is headed by management who have first-hand experience with addiction along with a team of psychiatrists, behavioral health counselors, therapists, and administrative directors.
