ABOUT HOPE NETWORK

With its headquarters based in Grand Rapids, Mich., the Hope Network is a statewide, Christian-based treatment provider that offers a range treatment services for individuals struggling with a mental illness, as well as individuals with co-occurring substance abuse disorders. Through its large number of facilities, the Hope Network provides a full continuum of specialized treatment programs, including residential treatment, partial hospitalization programs (PHP), outpatient programs, and supportive housing.

If necessary, medical detoxification is available through the Hope Network’s Insight treatment facility in Detroit.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

To provide relevant treatment and determine an appropriate level of care, the Hope Network provides a range of specialized assessments, including personality, psychiatric, emotional, behavioral, and developmental evaluations. If a client requires stabilization, they may be referred to one of the network’s facilities that provides Crisis Residential Services. According to the organization’s website, Crisis Residential Services serves as an alternative to hospitalization and involves a combination of pharmacological intervention, group therapy sessions, and individual counseling.

Once a client is stabilized, clinicians may refer the individual to an appropriate program to continue treatment. Individuals with a dual diagnosis of chemical dependency may be referred to the Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) facility, New Passages, in Mt. Clemens or the Insight facility in Detroit. New Passages provides supportive housing, outpatient-based psychosocial rehabilitation, case management, and employment assistance.

Along with detoxification, the organization’s Insight facility offers residential care, a partial hospitalization program (PHP), and outpatient levels of care. To treat chemical dependency, programming may consist of individual and group counseling sessions, educational presentations, skill-building workshops, and relapse prevention training.

Clients with a psychiatric disorder who require a heightened level of supervision and structure may be referred to one of the network’s residential facilities. To adequately treat its clientele, the Hope Network offers both lower intensity and highly intensive residential treatment options, supportive community living, and semi-independent living facilities. According to the organization’s website, the continuum of residential services is designed for clients to “move throughout our programs as they become more independent and in control of their lives.”

In addition to its residential services, the Hope Network provides outpatient-based treatment services for adults, adolescents, and children struggling with mental health or behavioral difficulties. Outpatient services may include psychiatric evaluations, ongoing medication management, as well as individual, group, and family counseling. Supportive services are also offered to all individuals involved in a behavioral health treatment program. Designed to maximize functioning and promote self-sufficiency, these services include assistance locating subsidized or supportive housing, vocational training opportunities, care coordination, and transportation.
