Recovery Unplugged Texas offers men and women who are struggling with drug and alcohol addiction the opportunity to work through recovery by participating in music-based and traditional therapy. The Austin rehab center is geared particularly toward serving clients who have chronically relapsed following previous rehabilitation experiences. Facilities include detox, residential, and intensive outpatient programs.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Clients write, study, produce, and perform music at Recovery Unplugged. The process helps individuals affected by addiction to express their emotions through self-discovery and constructive channeling. Some participants have never played an instrument before beginning the Austin program.
Rehabilitation begins with medically supervised detoxification and continues through a comprehensive and customized program that integrates traditional, evidence-based treatment practices with innovative, effective music-based therapy. Exercises like listening to songs about addiction and recovery, drumming, and karaoke combine with individual psychiatric and group counseling, along with yoga and other fitness therapies, to help clients heal from chemical dependency and its physical, social, and psychological consequences.
According to the facility’s website, the goal at Recovery Unplugged is balanced wellness so that individuals can manage their ongoing recovery with healthy, modified behavior and confidence. Family involvement is encouraged. Included in this strength-building process are opportunities for aftercare counseling and logistical support if needed to help prepare for work and sober living beyond rehab. The average rehab stay is 28 to 45 days.
