Areas of Specialization
Client & Family Support Groups
Group therapy is a vital component of addiction recovery treatment, considered as important and effective (sometimes even more so) than individual therapy. Benefits include reducing isolation and loneliness and providing the opportunity to learn from others in recovery. In the addiction setting, group therapy is run by trained professionals who guide participants toward a shared goal of recovery.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
The focus of cognitive behavioral therapy (also called CBT) is helping people to understand the thoughts and emotions that underlie their addiction with the goal of learning new, healthier and more productive ways to understand and express themselves.

ABOUT SEVEN HILLS HOSPITAL
Seven Hills Hospital is a behavioral health hospital offering psychiatric and substance abuse treatment for adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The facility is located 20 miles south of downtown Las Vegas. Addiction treatment includes medical detox, residential, and outpatient care.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Clients at the facility follow an individualized program put together under the supervision of a psychiatrist. The facility uses a variety of therapies built around the 12-Steps. Treatment options include psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), medication management, exercise, nutrition, group and family therapy. Family therapy is offered in both individual and group settings.
Outpatient options consist of partial hospitalization programs (PHPs) and intensive outpatient programs (IOPs) for mental health disorders and substance abuse. Both programs are held on weekday mornings with an average treatment length of two weeks.
The facility offers a dedicated treatment track for adolescents ages 11 to 17 that includes treatment for phobias, cutting, and eating disorders. Similarly, treatment for seniors offers programs for obsessive compulsive disorder, schizophrenia, and more.
The team is led by a staff of psychiatrists, and also includes physicians, nurse practitioners, psychologists, licensed addiction counselors, and recreational therapists. Alumni polled by Rehabs.com gave the facility staff’s experience and level of training 4.75 out of five stars.
ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES
The facility offers 134 beds in rooms for two, plus food prepared by an on-site chef. Free daily transportation plus lunch and snacks are available for outpatient clients.
WHAT ALUMNI SAY
At the time of this writing, there have been six alumni polled by Rehabs.com. On average, the alumni gave the facility high ratings for most metrics. The alumni gave the facility five out of five stars for the fairness of the facility’s cell phone and visitation policy, for the ability of family and loved ones to participate in treatment through facility programming, for the cleanliness of the facility, and for the affordability and/or payment plans, scholarships, or financial assistance that were made available. The alumni gave the counseling options offered by the facility 4.7 stars and the experience and level of training of the staff 4.75 stars.
When asked about the facility’s strengths, several alumni wrote about the quality of care and support they received from the treatment staff as well as the tools they were given for support after treatment. None of the alumni polled wrote about any weaknesses of the program. One alum added additional commentary stating, “The processes at this facility are of the highest available for the fees charged. I doubt there is anything better for the patient who truly wants to return to a clean and sober life.” All alumni polled agreed that they would recommend this facility to a friend or loved one who was considering rehab.
WHAT FRIENDS & FAMILY SAY
At the time of this writing there have been two friends/family members polled by Rehabs.com. One respondent, PF, was a best friend of a client and gave the facility four out of five stars for treatment effectiveness, accommodations, and meals and nutrition. The second anonymous female loved one rated those same categories as three stars.
Both loved ones agreed that the facility was clean and well maintained. PF also agreed that the facility’s cell phone and visitation policy was fair, family and loved ones were able to participate in treatment through facility programming, and the facility strictly followed a 12-step model. In contrast, the second anonymous loved one indicated that family and loved ones were not able to participate in treatment through facility programming and she did not think that the treatment and services offered at the facility were worth the cost.
The second respondent indicated she would not recommend the facility to another friend or loved one who was considering rehab because she felt the treatment was not intense enough. She also wrote, “This facility needs to be more involved with the clients an offer individual counseling rather than only group.” PF, however, did agree that he would recommend the facility. His concern, though, was that his friend was allowed to leave treatment after detoxing and then later relapsed. He wrote, “My best friend is the one who went here. He spoke highly of the program structure and staff. He said they supported him in leaving right after detox, which I was not excited about. I think he really could have benefitted if he stayed for treatment. He relapsed shortly after leaving because he didnt have the tools he needed to stay sober.”
According to its website, Seven Hills accepts Medicaid, Medicare, Tricare, and private insurances including Aetna, Anthem, United, and Blue Cross Blue Shield. Costs and fees are not listed on the facility’s website.
