Stonegate Center for Men Philosophy
We believe addiction is an issue of the heart. When a man is living in the fullness of his calling, knows his purpose, & understands God's vision for his life he is unlikely to use substances. We believe addiction starts as an attempt to medicate a wound. Usually that wound is something based in deep pain, shame, or fear. Most often it has been suppressed for so long that it is hard for the addict to recognize the effect on his life. We believe that these wounds/deeper issues of the heart are the things that need to be addressed for true freedom from addiction. Spiritually, we introduce men to a God that loves them unconditionally. Mentally, our licensed therapists help them sort out the tangles in our clients lives & offer new solutions to their struggles. Physically, Our Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselors address the nuts & bolts of addiction. They educate clients about the physical effects that drugs & alcohol have on our lives. They also address how to identify triggers & manage cravings. Ultimately we believe freedom is found in Christ. At Stonegate, God uses willing men He has equipped to speak the truth in love in to restore sanity to the broken.
Areas of Specialization
Though not all rehab facilities offer “medical detoxification,” all people with an addiction to drugs or alcohol will experience intense physical and emotional changes and discomfort as their bodies react to withdrawal of the addictive substance. Many people use the term “detox” to refer to the period of time (ranging from a few days to a week) when the body is reacting to an addict’s decision to stop using.
This term describes one-on-one therapy, in which a patient and trained counselor, social worker, psychologist or psychiatrist meets privately with a patient to discuss challenges related to lifestyle, work, family and romantic relationships that may have contributed to the development of an addiction.
Addiction recovery does not end with discharge after completing a rehab program. Facilities that offer aftercare planning and/or support work with patients to ensure sustainable recovery by helping to plan and make arrangements for transitional or sober living, help with housing, vocational counseling, etc.
Residential treatment programs provide housing (food and meals) in addition to treatment for substance abuse. Some facilities offer only short-term residential treatment, some offer only long-term treatment and others offer both, ranging from a few days to many months, based on patient needs.

The existence of Stonegate is truly a miracle divinely constructed by God. After entering two other rehabs without success, and finally Stonegate, my husband is now free of his addiction!!! I feel that the reason why Stonegate is so successful is because of the presence of God in everything they do. The duration of the program, as well as the physical and emotional healing that takes place, also contribute greatly to their success. At Stonegate, the clients develop accountability, leadership, and lifelong friendships.- Anonymous
Pretty good facility and nice staff.. Liked the place a lot and helped me out.. I've been doing good in life and made great grades last semester. I would recommend this place to people who are in need of help or feel there life has become unmanageable. Check it out it never hurts.- Cameron S.
Great place to start your road to recovery Stonegate was there with an open hand to help me out of the grasp of the devil. They helped me by exposing the under laying issues that was attributing to my addictive behavior and recognizing my trigger points. There is only one way to beat addiction that is letting Jesus take the wheel and let him make the changes in your life that is needed. At Stonegate they will get you tuned back into your spiritual self and walk with you down the path of recovery.- Tom B.
My Stonegate experience has thus far proven to be a critical component in my recovery from alcoholism. The relationships and accountability built within the Stonegate Family I consider no less important than the information and life skills acquired there. I would certainly recommend Stonegate to anyone suffering from alcohol and drug addiction.- Anonymous
