Valliant House, LLC Philosophy
Our philosophy is based upon the concept that alcoholism and drug addiction have significantly affected all areas of a person's life. Secondly, irrational thinking has significantly affected all areas of the person's life and such erroneous thinking reinforces their self-destructive behavior. Most individuals choose to engage in self-destructive activity although there may be other psychosocial contributing factors. The addicted individual avoids responsibility using psychological defenses to justify their actions. The alcoholic/addict lives a lie.
Areas of Specialization
The term “12 Step Program” describes a way to recover from addiction that is based on the model developed by Alcoholics Anonymous. Many drug and alcohol treatment centers base their treatment on 12 steps – the first three of which are situational, the next four addressing the practical issues created by the addiction, followed by two steps focused on making amends for hurting others. Steps 10 and 11 involve a deeper examination of the previous steps and the final step is focused on helping others avoid and recover from addiction.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
The focus of cognitive behavioral therapy (also called CBT) is helping people to understand the thoughts and emotions that underlie their addiction with the goal of learning new, healthier and more productive ways to understand and express themselves.

ABOUT VALLIANT HOUSE
Located in the center of a tiny, rural Oklahoma town famous for its Watermelon Festival, Valliant House provides residential substance abuse treatment for adult women, along with co-ed outpatient services. According to the facility’s website, priority admission is given to pregnant women, minorities, IV drug users, and individuals with HIV or Hepatitis C.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Along with the 12-step approach, Valliant House utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and a biopsychosocial model to help clients achieve “accountability and honesty” during treatment.
Residential treatment is offered for up to a year. It includes group therapy and on-site AA/NA meetings. CiteHealth reports that the program also offers specialized groups focusing on women’s issues, the criminal justice system, and co-occurring mental health disorders. 1

ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES
The 15,000 square foot facility offers 48 beds and resembles an elongated, well-kept farmhouse, with a white picket fence and gazebo. Rooms and bathrooms are shared, and meals are served in a communal dining area.
WHAT ALUMNI SAY
At the time of this writing there has been one alumni survey response received by Rehabs.com. Alum ADM gave the facility a five- out of five-star rating for treatment effectiveness, accommodations & amenities, and meals & nutrition. ADM, who’s between 26 and 39 years old, chose this facility in particular based on a referral from a friend or family member. The client entered rehab for substance abuse and stayed for over 90 days.
ADM has been out of the facility for over 12 months, completed treatment successfully, and entered sober living after treatment. The client’s treatment was funded drug court and ADM agreed when asked if the facility was worth the cost. ADM did not relapse after leaving the program. When asked for commentary, ADM wrote “Saved my life.” 2
At the time of this writing there were five Google Reviews. On the facility’s Google Reviews page, former client Amanda also called the facility life-saving. “This is an awesome place to go if you really want recovery,”1 she said.
According to the facility’s website, Valliant house accepts state insurance and self-paying clients.
