AllianceHealth Durant - New Vision Philosophy

New Vision is an inpatient medical stabilization service for chemically dependent adults experiencing withdrawal symptoms. New Vision’s medically supervised detoxification treatment typically consists of three to five days of inpatient hospitalization, followed by a referral to a secondary facility. During the inpatient stay, patients receive a number of services including pre-screening, assessment, admission, medical management, appropriate discharge planning, and crisis intervention. Upon successfully completing medical detoxification and stabilization, New Vision works with patients to connect them with aftercare services, including but not limited to residential substance abuse treatment, outpatient treatment, and counseling.

    Our service consists of a medically supervised hospital stay for inpatient stabilization that typically lasts 3-5 days. The inpatient stay includes the following aspects: pre-screening, assessment, admission, medical management, appropriate discharge planning, crisis intervention, and referral. We have a fully qualified treatment team including a medical director and nursing personnel who utilize a multi-disciplinary team approach in the stabilization of the patient.

    New Vision is an emergency medical/surgical stabilization service for adults with drug, alcohol and health related issues. New Vision accepts appropriate patients who are experiencing incapacitation due to substance use or are experiencing acute withdrawal symptoms.

New Vision is the behavioral health program of the AllianceHealth Durant network in Durant, Okla. An emergency medical stabilization detox program and a follow up outpatient program assist adults struggling with substance abuse, including those with acute withdrawal symptoms.


New Vision’s medically-assisted detoxification and stabilization program typically lasts three to five days, although longer hospitalization may be required. After an initial pre-screening, assessment, and admission, patients may receive the following services: medical management, discharge plans, crisis intervention, and referrals to nearby treatment centers. Admission services, by appointment only, are available Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The behavioral health program also offers outpatient treatment services in tandem with New Vision. The outpatient track provides individual, group, and family counseling sessions as well as educational programs for adults who struggle with substance abuse and/or co-occurring mental health issues. Upon completion of outpatient treatment, referrals to community-based aftercare services are also available.


New Vision maintains a staff-to-client ratio of 1:4. The treatment team consists of an on-site medical director as well as nursing personnel who specialize in patient stabilization.


New Vision’s facility can accommodate up to 120 clients at a time. WiFi is available throughout the hospital and special dietary needs and preferences can be met upon request.
