Any Length Retreat for Men Philosophy
The Any Length Retreat is located just north of Austin Texas on 5 acres. Any Length is an affordable alternative to recovery centers. We have a non-clinical model that empowers men who have not had success in staying sober on their power or have tried countless other methods to achieve recovery and have failed to remain abstinent. The Any Length Retreat is not a substitute for medical, psychotherapy, and clinical treatment nor do we offer any clinical or psychiatric services. We cater to men who are willing to believe that they are alcoholic/addict and take the necessary actions to recover, live sober, and become productive members of society.
Areas of Specialization
Client & Family Support Group
Group therapy is a vital component of addiction recovery treatment, considered as important and effective (sometimes even more so) than individual therapy. Benefits include reducing isolation and loneliness and providing the opportunity to learn from others in recovery. In the addiction setting, group therapy is run by trained professionals who guide participants toward a shared goal of recovery.
Some facilities have an addiction treatment protocol that all patients or clients are expected to follow, while others customize or individualize treatment based on a person’s unique needs and circumstances. Factors that may affect treatment decisions include age, lifestyle, medical conditions, type of drug, religious beliefs, etc.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
To gain admission to Any Length Retreat, potential clients must be sober, drug-free, and able to remain abstinent, as well as psychologically and medically stable. Any Length’s treatment philosophy emphasizes regaining mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being. The website emphasizes the belief that clients’ addictions are not their problems but solutions to deeper problems they have, and solving those problems leads to addiction recovery.
Any Length Retreat’s retreats are based on the 12-Steps principles and last two, four, or eight weeks. During their stay, clients engage in individual and group support sessions and build community with fellow clients and the larger community. The two-week program, named “Vicious Cycle,” is an intensive program to help clients identify what’s blocking their recovery. The four-week program, “Roots and Branch,” looks at the reasons why clients partake in substance abuse. The eight-week program, “Road to Reconstruction,” helps clients discover problems within themselves besides their substance abuse, although it is not a substitute for clinical treatment.
After completing a retreat, clients may enter Any Length’s recovery residence, which requires a commitment of 120 days, but can last four to six months. Clients continue undergoing the 12-steps model of treatment and begin following a schedule with activities including morning prayer and meditation, a weekly book study house meetings, and independent living skills such as chores and time management. Clients are also encouraged to enroll in school, work full-time, and/or volunteer in the community.
After completing the recovery residence, clients may enter Any Length’s Graduate House, although sparse details are given on how the Graduate House program differs from programs prior to it.
Any Length’s founder is a Nationally Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist (PRSS) and Advance Relapse Prevention Specialist. Another staff employee is also PRSS-certified. Any Length’s website states that staff members have recovered from addiction themselves.
