Treatment Center Setting
Any Length Retreat for Men Philosophy
The Any Length Retreat is located just North of Austin, TX on a beautiful five acre property. Any Length is a non-clinical, private pay model that empowers men who have not had success in staying sober on their own or have tried countless other traditional treatments and methods and continue to repeat the same behaviors. What makes Any Length so much more effective than traditional treatment is the fact that all of their staff have recovered from addiction, giving them real-life experience on what it takes to recover. Any Length works when other places fail. They teach men a whole new way of living through the principles outlined in the 12 steps. They specialize in treating 18-35 year-olds, who have attempted to get sober multiple times. At Any Length Retreat men and their families find lifelong recovery through the in-depth study and application of the 12 steps. Don't hesitate to reach out to us and speak with someone who has been through it and recovered from it.
Areas of Specialization
Client & Family Support Group
Group therapy is a vital component of addiction recovery treatment, considered as important and effective (sometimes even more so) than individual therapy. Benefits include reducing isolation and loneliness and providing the opportunity to learn from others in recovery. In the addiction setting, group therapy is run by trained professionals who guide participants toward a shared goal of recovery.
Some facilities have an addiction treatment protocol that all patients or clients are expected to follow, while others customize or individualize treatment based on a person’s unique needs and circumstances. Factors that may affect treatment decisions include age, lifestyle, medical conditions, type of drug, religious beliefs, etc.
The term “12 Step Program” describes a way to recover from addiction that is based on the model developed by Alcoholics Anonymous. Many drug and alcohol treatment centers base their treatment on 12 steps – the first three of which are situational, the next four addressing the practical issues created by the addiction, followed by two steps focused on making amends for hurting others. Steps 10 and 11 involve a deeper examination of the previous steps and the final step is focused on helping others avoid and recover from addiction.
Residential treatment programs provide housing (food and meals) in addition to treatment for substance abuse. Some facilities offer only short-term residential treatment, some offer only long-term treatment and others offer both, ranging from a few days to many months, based on patient needs.
After many attempts and failures, my son was finally able to win the battle when he found Any Length Retreat! I am so grateful to the staff for their unwavering support and guidance during this difficult time. I strongly recommend their staff and treatment methods to anyone struggling with addiction.
My son has been in ALR programs for over a year between the Retreat and their sober living, and as an addict with long term recovery and a professional in the field I recognize and appreciate the quality of care and attention to client concerns. I highly recommend this organization to anyone who suffers from the disease of addiction.
Any Length Retreat absolutely saved my life. It was exactly what I needed. I had been struggling with drug addiction for years and was none too hopeful at the onset to say the least. After much time, fearlessly searching myself with the staff and my mentor I have found peace of mind and lasting sobriety in which I find much happiness. I would absolutely recommend this facility to anyone struggling or their loved one. I couldn’t possibly say enough positive things about this place.
Our son spent time at 3 different treatment centers. He relapsed after completing the first two programs. By the mercy of his higher power he ended up at ALR. I’m convinced that ALR saved his life. While addiction is a lifelong disease, I feel that our son has been given the tools to handle those obstacles he will encounter through life. The team at ALR was amazing. Communication was often and honest. Program fees were very reasonable compared to the first two places. While I never thought he’d end up in Texas, he is surrounded by a strong network giving him the best chance at success. I highly recommend ALR for your loved one.
God is working through Robert White and the rest of staff of Any Length Retreat to help others attain and maintain sobriety. They connect with clients in a way I’ve never experienced before in other treatment centers. There’s a genuine care and concern for the development and well-being not only for the man seeking help, but also for their family as well. I can’t say enough about how much my time at the Retreat has changed my life. The brotherhood developed between clients and staff alike is similar to the bond you create with guys you grew up on a sports team with. Love these guys. Love Any Length Retreat. If you yourself need help or if you’re concerned about a loved one, don’t hesitate to reach out.
From a parents perspective we cannot say enough about Any Length Retreat. Our son has been through multiple programs over a long period without staying sober. The wonderful, caring, educated staff of ALR have gone above and beyond to help save my son’a life. They broke through to my son who was in the worse shape of his life at the time and made him believe in himself. In all of my experience over the years with addiction treatment, ALR is head and shoulders the best. I could go on for pages with praise. 6 months ago I believed my son was going to die, today he is training for a half marathon in Austin. If you have a loved one that needs help please do not hesitate to call ALR.
