ABOUT ASHWOOD RECOVERY AT NORTHPOINT
Located four miles west of central Boise, Ida., Ashwood Recovery at Northpoint offers several outpatient services for adults, adolescents, and families struggling with substance abuse and mental and behavioral health conditions, including co-occurring disorders. The facility does not provide alcohol and drug detox on-site.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
The process begins with an initial assessment that takes 90 minutes to complete and determines the appropriate level of care. The primary course of treatment for adults is an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) that operates weekdays from 1-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. Clients typically attend one of these three-hour sessions for three days per week for 12 weeks. The facility also offers a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) that operates six hours daily from Monday through Friday.
Treatment combines 12-Steps along with evidence-based modalities, aiming to provide an approach that helps clients identify the issues at the root of their addictions and other disorders. Ashwood Recovery can provide eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing (MI), and trauma resolution services. Family nights are offered twice a month, consisting of sharing sessions as well as education and skills-building.
The Continuing Care program generally is a step-down from the IOP. This Outpatient Program (OP) consists of ongoing group therapy for a varied length of time depending on the client’s recovery needs. Clients typically attend two days per week for one and one-half hours.
The team includes a psychiatrist, physician, social workers, and licensed counselors and therapists. The one alum polled by Rehabs.com to date gave the facility the top five out of five stars for its staff’s level of training and experience.
