ABOUT ASPIRE BEHAVIORAL HEALTH HOSPITAL
Located in Conroe, Texas, Aspire Behavioral Health Hospital provides detox services, short-term inpatient care, and outpatient programs for individuals over the age of 18 who are struggling with a range of mood, mental health, and other disorders, including chemical dependency. The facility accepts both voluntary and involuntary admissions.
The facility is part of the larger Aspire Healthcare Corp. network. Originally founded in 2009 as a geriatric psychiatric hospital, Aspire is a physician-owned hospital network that now provides inpatient medical care alongside a variety of behavioral health services at several facilities in the northern suburbs of Houston, Texas.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Treatment is mainly carried out in group settings; groups include therapeutic social work groups, nursing groups, education groups, and nutrition groups. The schedule also provides activities therapy, journaling, and free time, plus family conferences. Aspire emphasizes that each client has different needs, and moreover that each client's needs might change during treatment, and thus that every effort is made to keep programming fluid and individualized.
Aspire is one of only 46 facilities (8 percent) in Texas to offer hospital-based, inpatient treatment for substance misuse and related disorders and one of only 42 (8.6 percent) to do so with an option for medical detoxification.
Outpatient care consists of partial hospitalization programs (PHPs) and intensive outpatient programs (IOPs), which run between three and five days a week. Each program accommodates no more than 10 clients at a time and has a dedicated treatment track for dual-diagnosis.
Outpatient programs use a therapeutic community approach and multidisciplinary treatment methods, which address the biological, psychological, familial, social, vocational/educational, and spiritual elements of addiction and recovery. Specifically, treatment includes medication management, plus individual, group, and family education.
Staff includes psychiatrists, physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, licensed social workers, licensed activity/recreational therapists, a registered dietitian, and pharmacists.
Aspire Hospital is licensed by the State of Texas, certified by Medicare, and one of only 142 treatment facilities (29.1 percent) in Texas to be accredited by the Joint Commission.
