Throughout treatment, clients participate in group therapy, individual counseling, and substance abuse education classes. I think they are very caring towards the patients and try their best to help them. It's an older facility that needs some remodeling and updating. I was impressed with the workers, counselors and staff. They are very caring and compassionate people.

They are kind courteous and considerate to their clients. Staff is professional and well educated. They could use more funding to provide acupuncture and massage therapies ect. I had an amazing life changing experience. It was beautiful and relaxing in the mountians. I was there for 21 days and i have been clean from heroin since and that was two years ago. I gaind a lot of useful education about the disease of addiction as well as coping skills to deal with lifes everyday issues. We need more places and people like the staff at Black Mt. NC.

The staff is very supportive while being honest about your addiction. I felt some of the patients there were not actually there for treatment. They were just trying to get credit for the court system and the attention given to these people hinder the clients who are actually trying to recover. My overall experience was beneficial to being able to stay in recovery when I was able to go home. I have since leaving been clean.
