Additionally, the facility works specifically with individuals who are in the criminal justice system as a result of drug-related offenses. According to a 2017 SAMHSA survey, 35.6 percent of rehabs in Iowa offer a program specifically tailored for criminal justice clients.

The facility’s treatment program is based in Christian principles and uses the 12-Steps. One of just 27 rehab facilities in the state (16.6 percent of all facilities in the state) to provide a long-term (30 days or more) residential program, Bridges of Iowa's one-year treatment program involves three phases.

In the first phase of treatment, clients receive education and programming based on the four manifestations defined by the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM): biological, psychological, social, and spiritual.

In the second phase of treatment, facility staff assists clients in improving their resumes, learning interview skills, and identifying potential employers. According to a 2017 SAMHSA survey, 33.1 percent of rehabs in Iowa offer employment counseling or training for clients. After program participants begin working, their paychecks are held in a trust managed by Bridges of Iowa. Clients also learn budgeting and financial management in this phase.

Phase three of the program involves transition into sober living and outpatient treatment. This phase offers clients a less structured environment in which to reintegrate into society.

They have completely changed this program now. I believe it is called Alps. With St. Gregory s. Im not sure how I feel about it. They took the faith outta the program...and the 12 steps. But kept the awful safe program..with that crap instructor.
