Bridges Professional Treatment Services Inc. - Promise House Philosophy
Located in downtown Sacramento, the Promise House provides women with a safe and nurturing environment to recover from drug and/or alcohol addiction. The residential rehab offers intensive education in substance abuse and relapse prevention, as well as therapy designed to address the core issues surrounding addiction including anger management, grief and loss, personal trauma and victim awareness. Clients learn to restructure their lives, feel confident in their abilities and utilize the coping techniques necessary to stay sober for life.
Areas of Specialization
Residential treatment programs provide housing (food and meals) in addition to treatment for substance abuse. Some facilities offer only short-term residential treatment, some offer only long-term treatment and others offer both, ranging from a few days to many months, based on patient needs.
This term describes one-on-one therapy, in which a patient and trained counselor, social worker, psychologist or psychiatrist meets privately with a patient to discuss challenges related to lifestyle, work, family and romantic relationships that may have contributed to the development of an addiction.
Meet the Staff
"I had a vision that the treatment process and recovery could be fun and enjoyable and lead to a lifetime of happiness. My vision included treatment programs where clients and staff would respect each other. This comes from the understanding that everyone has strengths and weaknesses and that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. We are all equal in God's world regardless of whether we've been clean for a day or a lifetime."
