Our clinicians are adaptive and have a breadth of treatment modalities to effectively treat the needs of each individual client. A variety of proven therapy methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing will help you get to the heart of your addiction or mental health condition, and achieve lasting recovery.
Areas of Specialization
We treat the detox step as a significant part of recovery because it is during this time that your body and mind are adjusting to functioning without drugs or alcohol. For as long as you have had your addiction, you have been feeding unhealthy substances into your body, continuously adding toxin upon toxin to a floundering body. Before you can go through rehab and therapy, you need to allow time to detox and heal from those toxins.
The residential treatment program at California Highlands lasts between 30 and 60 days. During this time, clients are welcomed into our luxurious facility. The experience of our center is important, because our clients are important and deserve to be comfortable. Residential treatment is a huge step and the amenities should be the least of an individual’s worries. Many say our setting feels like a spa or a vacation home, and part of the reason for this is that our residential facility is situated on 32 acres of private, beautiful landscape. Clients can take part in plenty of nature-based activities and therapies while in our residential program.
Our individualized therapies utilizes only proven techniques for success, and is customized to meet your needs and goals. While in our program, you will have the opportunity to participate in variousgroup and individual therapy sessions and activities.
Participants of this therapy learn to regulate emotions and build insight into emotional, biological, and cognitive reactivity. This will allow the individual to challenge their reactivity with effective coping techniques and identify opportunities for positive change.
This form of therapy helps the individual identify self-defeating beliefs and negative thought processes that contribute to addiction, and then begin to challenge and change those thought processes. Changing one’s thinking will in turn change how one feels and behaves
This type of therapy helps individuals learn the power of self-regulation. They learn how to manage large emotional responses through being truly in the moment, on purpose.

WHAT ALUMNI SAY
According to information on the National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers website, California Highlands Addiction Treatment has been in operation since just 2015. At the time of this writing, feedback from former clients is scarce. Rehabs.com received survey responses from one alum, which reflected highly favorable opinions.
Metrics measuring accommodations, including the quality of meals and nutrition, the facility’s cleanliness and upkeep, and opportunities for exercise and leisure, all received ratings of four or five out of five stars. This alum also rated the effectiveness of treatment, family involvement, and the level of staff training and experience highly.
Data indicated less satisfaction with limited counseling and holistic therapy options and the reviewer reported “spotty” internet service and insufficient exercise equipment.
Nine reviewers on the facility’s official Facebook page, which may be monitored by staff, each rated the program five out of five stars. One noted that the program was his best experience after attempting treatment at other rehabs. Another wrote: “it saved my life.”
WHAT FRIENDS & FAMILY SAY
Two loved ones polled by Rehabs.com also gave strong ratings to metrics measuring treatment effectiveness and staff experience, as well as to their opinion of the program’s affordability. Their perspectives on family involvement were split, with a five-star and a three-star rating.
The staff’s assistance in working with insurance companies and the personal attention residents received in counseling were cited as strengths, while one family member mentioned a concern about privacy.
WHAT STAFF SAY
Rehabs.com survey responses from seven current or former employees of the facility were all positive. All would recommend their fellow treatment staff members and the program’s effective treatment. More than half identified the availability of unique and individualized treatment as a strength. In a representative review, J.O. wrote that the facility “has everything needed to facilitate clients and family in recovery.”
Treatment costs come to $1,500 per day, $45,000 per month, and $90,000 for a 90-day stay.
