Cedar Ridge Treatment Center is part of Compass Health’s Pathways Community Health division, a nonprofit health care network serving Missouri and Louisiana. Located in Camden County, Mo., the facility offers a continuum of residential and outpatient-based services for adults struggling with substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders. The facility also offers specialized programming for driving under the influence (DUI) and other legal-related issues. The facility’s brochure notes that a modified medical detox program will soon be available.


Comprehensive treatment at Cedar Ridge Treatment Center offers clients several levels of care. Residential, a partial hospitalization program (PHP), intensive outpatient program (IOP), and aftercare services all incorporate individualized assessment and treatment planning, as well as one-on-one therapy, group counseling, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), and educational groups.

Residential treatment provides a structured living environment for clients to attend 12-step meetings, classes on topics such as relationships, anger management, and relapse prevention, as well as community support services. A specialized residential program to treat co-occurring disorders, is also available,, providing psychiatry and nursing services in addition to other treatments and tools. In the state of Missouri, Cedar Ridge Treatment Center is among 38.1 percent of substance abuse treatment facilities with programs tailored to clients with co-occurring disorders.

PHP day treatment enables clients to live off-site while they attend an intensive, full-day of programming, while IOP clients attend up to 19 hours of programming per week in the day or evening. Outpatient programming includes individual and group therapy, educational classes focused on relapse prevention, and community support. Nursing and psychiatric services are available as needed.

Aftercare prioritizes connections to community services for housing, education, and employment, as well as offers individual and group counseling as needed. It serves clients who have completed more intensive treatment or require less recovery support. The facility's Substance Abuse Traffic Offender Program (SATOP) serves clients who have received an alcohol or drug-related traffic offense. In Missouri, the facility is among the 30.4 percent of facilities to provide programming for criminal justice clients.

The one loved one polled by Rehabs.com to date submitted highly favorable opinions about Cedar Ridge Treatment Center, offering five stars for affordability, connectivity/visitor policy, staff experience and training, and treatment of co-occurring disorders. Although offering a more moderate three-star rating for family participation and holistic offerings, the loved one wrote: “Great treatment center which was clean and had good family participation.”


On secondary site Glassdoor, current and former employees posted moderately positive opinions about the facility to date: 3.6 out of five stars based on four reviews. [3] Positive comments reported effective colleagues and leadership, while negative reviewers noted the fast pace of the program, which “sometimes can be overwhelming.”


Cedar Ridge Treatment Center accepts Medicaid, HMO’s, and other private insurance policies. Fees may be based on a sliding scale based on a client’s income. In Missouri, the center is among the 67.7 percent of facilities to accept Medicaid.
