Cleveland Christian Home in Cleveland, Ohio has provided treatment and support for adolescent boys in northeastern Ohio for over 115 years. Christian Cleveland Home offers specialized residential treatment, a partial hospitalization program (PHP), and community-based services for teenage boys struggling with severe emotional or behavioral disorders.

The facility is one of the only 118 (28.9 percent) treatment centers in the state with adolescent-tailored programming, along with being one of Ohio's 168 (41.1 percent) facilities with treatment specific for men. The facility offers a traditional, or “open” residential program and intensive residential treatment for adolescents who indicate a risk of harming themselves or others. The facility also operates the Hope Center, a residential program designed to treat youth with a history of sexual abuse or exposure to inappropriate sexual influences at a young age. To determine an appropriate residential program, clients first participate in an initial psychiatric and behavioral assessment upon admission.

The Cleveland Christian Home also serves as a short-term shelter for juveniles awaiting juvenile court. While residing in the facility, adolescents participate in a structured schedule of specialized classroom instruction, recreational activities, and group counseling sessions. Sessions may address a range of relevant topics, including anger management, substance abuse, emotional regulation, trauma, and abuse. In Ohio, the facility is among the 35.7 percent of facilities to treat clients involved in the criminal justice system.

Along with its residential programs, Cleveland Christian Home also requires residents to attend a partial hospitalization program (PHP), which provides clinical services for its residents. PHP may include ongoing psychiatric assessments, psychotherapy sessions, medication management, and therapeutic recreation.

Cleveland Christian Home also offers trauma-informed services for adolescents and their families within the community. Provided in-home or in-office, these counseling services are designed to resolve conflict, improve communication, increase coping skills, prevent abuse and neglect, and help families remain together.

Good decision under circumstances, hope no one ever has to use them though as it was a court/family services mandated choice. however, if needed, CCH is by far one of the better choices in this area.
