Clinch Valley Comprehensive Treatment Center offers medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for adults ages 18 and older seeking long-term recovery. The outpatient clinic is located in Cedar Bluff, Va. and open for regular business hours and medication Monday through Friday, from 5 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Clinch Valley is one of just 69 (30.9 percent) of methadone maintenance clinics in the state of Virginia.

Treatment services at Clinch Valley have two main goals: to help clients come to a better understanding as to why they originally turned to opioids and to help them develop and maintain long-term abstinence from these substances.

In addition to individual and group therapy, Clinch Valley offers methadone, Suboxone, and Vivitrol. Relative to other providers statewide, the clinic is one of just 30 (13.5 percent) that offers methadone, one of 80 (35.9 percent) that offers Suboxone, and one of 46 (20.6 percent) that offers Vivitrol. Subutex is also available here. Medications and their dosages may be adjusted, where needed, throughout treatment.

All clients at Clinch Valley work with a team of physicians, nurses, and counselors.

The sole respondent of a survey to date expressed satisfaction with the facility’s “treatments”, only complaining of a need for improvement in the facility’s cleanliness. The alum also left at least three out of five stars for over a dozen areas of treatment; staff experience, counseling options, family participation, and cleanliness. “It has been good,” the anonymous alum added.

On Google, Clinch Valley Comprehensive Treatment Center has an overall rating of 4.3 out of five stars and mostly positive feedback from seven reviewers to date.[1] "This place is actually not just some were you go to replace a drug with another drug,” Scotty wrote in a representative five-star review. “They help and teach you how to recover instead of just doseing you and sending you home.” Five-star reviewer Christina added: “It has saved my life it is a lot of frustration sometimes but it is worth it if ya stick threw it.”

Clients are required to pay their intake fees on their first day. Private insurance is accepted.
