Community, Counseling and Correctional Services Inc., (CCCS) is a nonprofit organization founded in 1983 with a 30-bed community-based residential center for adult male offenders in Butte, MT. Today, the established nonprofit has evolved and expanded its services to include 14 facilities across three states: Montana, North Dakota, and Washington. Of these, four are located in Butte, MT. CCCS is one of just 17 facilities statewide with services dedicated to criminal offenders.

Treatment services across all CCCS facilities are designed to meet the needs of children, teens, and adults by promoting “healthy living through treatment, training, and supervision.” The nonprofit’s four Butte, MT locations are: The Butte Pre-Release Center (BPRC), The Connections Corrections Program (CCP), The Enhanced Supervision Program (ESP), and Discovery House.

Once limited to a 30-bed capacity, the Butte Pre-Release Center (BPRC) today serves up to 160 adult male offenders, assisting in their preparation for reentry back into the community.

The Connections Corrections Program (CCP) is a community-correctional facility for adult men and women who are also struggling with chemical dependency. A 60-day program, CCP is also one of just 10 in the state that offers more than 30 days of residential care.

Through the Enhanced Supervision Program (ESP), CCCS serves offenders - both individuals on probation and those on parole - who have failed to meet the specific terms and conditions of their individual plans.

In nearby Anaconda, MT. CCCS runs Discover House, a dually licensed group home and shelter care for at-risk youth. Originally founded as nine-bed short-term program, Discovery House now provides 30 to 45 days of residential care for at-youth youth seeking an alternative to county jail.

As an organization, CCCS is currently staffed at 559 full- and part-time employees across its 14 different facilities.

CCCS provides few details on its website regarding the qualitative details of its living arrangements and related offerings. However, the single individual surveyed by as of this writing gave CCCS three out of five stars for its accommodations and five out of five stars for its quality of food.

The sole respondent of a survey as of this writing described the CCCS staff as “very informative and great”. CCCS also has two five-star ratings on Google, neither of which contained specific feedback on their experience with the facility.[1]

There is currently no information provided by the facility regarding its treatment costs, however, CCCS is one of just 71.4 percent of facilities statewide receive public funding for programming.
