ABOUT PATHWAYS COMMUNITY HEALTH

Pathways Community Health, located in Clinton, Mo., and operated by Compass Health Network, offers outpatient and residential treatment to adults and adolescents seeking treatment for substance abuse. The Clinton location is one of several Pathways locations in Missouri and Louisiana. In addition to providing drug and alcohol abuse treatment, the organization also offers family medicine, dental, and mental health services to people of all ages. Detox is not available.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

Pathways Community Health focuses on individualized treatment using evidence-based practices. To be admitted, clients must contact the facility to find a location for a walk-in assessment or to schedule a personal assessment.

Three levels of outpatient treatment are available. Level One, Brief Intervention, is an individual-based program that includes four counseling sessions and lasts four weeks. Level Two, Alcohol and Drug Awareness, is a five-week group-based program that offers ten hours of group education. Level Three, the Choices Program, is an eight-week treatment program that offers sixteen hours of group education and two individual counseling sessions. Residential treatment lasts no more than a maximum of 30 days making it one of Missouri’s 48 (18.7 percent) short-term residential facilities.

Throughout treatment, clients receive individual, family, and co-dependent counseling as well as group counseling, group education, case management, and co-occurring mental health services if necessary. In Missouri, only 181 (70.4 percent) facilities offer counseling for couples. Participants in the residential program may also benefit from medication-assisted treatment (MAT), trauma counseling, and transitional housing referrals when needed.

The Navig8 program is intended for youth ages 12-17 whose lives have been impacted by the use of alcohol or other substances. The program centers around 8 Dimensions of Wellness and places a strong emphasis on family involvement. In Missouri, 51 (19.8 percent) facilities offer treatment options for adolescents. Clients can also take part in a DUI/DWI program to satisfy legal requirements for treatment.

Good at what they do! Facility itself looks a bit outdated. I did not personally use this service, but a very close friend did and it certainly helped her greatly!
