ABOUT CORNERSTONE BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CENTER — MILESTONE ADDICTION SERVICES
Cornerstone Behavioral Health Center (CBHC) is owned by Grant-Blackford, a private not-for-profit corporation that operates 21 locations in Grant and Blackford Counties, Ind., treating people of all ages who are struggling with substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders.
Milestone Addiction Services, one of its foremost locations, is situated on a quiet street toward the south of the small city of Marion, midway between Fort Wayne and Indianapolis, and offers outpatient care for adults and adolescents. CBHC also offers short-term inpatient treatment for substance abuse, though it’s not clear whether this is available at the Milestone center or another property in the network.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Cornerstone’s inpatient program is short-term and, according to the facility’s website, intended for individuals who “have lost the capacity to maintain a desirable level of functioning due to emotional distress/illness, chemical dependency.” The primary goal of inpatient care is to aid clients during their time of crisis and return them to the community as soon as possible.
Outpatient care, which is offered in the longer-term, takes the form of intensive outpatient programs (IOPs) with one specifically for adults and one for adolescents. Treatment addresses the psychological and physical effects of addiction, family and social interaction, and overall wellness, as well as offering education and continuing care. Case management — supporting clients with education, employment, housing, and medication — is provided as needed.
Grant-Blackford employs more than 170 people, who collectively treat more than 3,000 outpatients and 600 inpatients every year. There is currently no further information provided by the facility regarding its treatment staff, however, the eight individuals polled by Rehabs.com to date on the staff’s level of training and experience gave it an average rating of 4.1 out of five stars.
ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES
Inpatient care is provided in a hospital setting, with two hours of visiting time daily. The eight individuals polled by Rehabs.com to date on the center’s cleanliness gave it an average rating of 3.4 out of five stars.

In further criticism another alum, Scott, wrote: “To much court ordered people who have zero desire to get better. Been a,while since I was there so it may be better, I don't know, but when I went as as self referral it was a money mill." Additionally, the other alum who gave a mixed to negative review felt that the facility was not worth the cost.

AnonymousLocation Cost, effectiveness, were strengths. Limited space so unless you are really bad your not getting in.
AnonymousStrengths: Great staff thats qualified for treatments. Weaknesses: Hours to get a hold of emergencies. On time with checkups
AnonymousThe staff is the biggest strength of the facility. I like it but several times we got very short visits.
AnonymousCornerstone offers individual counseling along with group sessions. Strengths included: convenient location, keeping personal information private, caring and attentive staff, and the treatment options. However, they lack options after treatment to keep people off of drugs and alcohol.
