ABOUT CORNERSTONE OF RHINEBECK
Located on the banks of Silver Lake in New York’s Hudson Valley, Cornerstone of Rhinebeck is a residential rehabilitation facility that serves adults struggling with substance use disorders. Medically supervised detox support is available on-site (placing the center among only 3.6 percent of New York residential facilities), and treatment incorporates evidence-based psychotherapy with recreation and nutritional guidance. The same organization operates another Cornerstone residential rehab with an emphasis on detox in Fresh Meadows.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Clients begin treatment at Cornerstone of Rhinebeck with physical and psychiatric evaluations. Individualized treatment plans can be tailored to address an array of addictions, including to opioids and cannabinoids such as K2, according to the facility's website. It should noted that the clinical staff can administer, but does not prescribe, Suboxone.
The facility introduces residents to self-help resources, encouraging attendance at Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA) on and off-site. Residents typically also participate in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), addiction education sessions, and specialized courses addressing anger management, sober living skills, family dynamics, and smoking cessation. Available holistic offerings include yoga and zumba.
Cornerstone of Rhinebeck employs nurses, state-credentialed alcohol and substance abuse counselors (CASAC), and certified activity instructors.
ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES
The 96-bed rehab center is set on 32 secluded acres with mountain and lake views. Courtesy transportation is provided to Cornerstone of Rhinebeck. The four individuals polled to date by Rehabs.com provided mixed reviews for the quality of its facilities.

WHAT ALUMNI SAY
While recommending Cornerstone of Rhinebeck to others, finding the rehab effective, and citing staff as a facility strength, the one former client polled by Rehabs.com described therapeutic practices as “weak” and untraditional. Nevertheless, they rated an array of metrics evaluating treatment and accommodations four out of five stars, including counseling options and family participation. Holistic offerings received three stars.
Other sources revealed polarized feedback for this facility. On Google, 18 individuals contributed to an average rating of 2.9 out of five stars. Three reviewers highlighted the helpful staff, beautiful setting, and clean treatment environment. A couple represented the program as inadequately supervised, with not enough drug testing or control over outside contact.
Of seven CiteHealth reviews for Cornerstone of Rhinebeck, four referenced difficulty arranging appointments or communicating with staff prior to admission. Of the three evaluating extensive experience at the rehab center, one echoed Google reviewers’ criticism of the program’s ineffectiveness, while two characterized their experience positively, one calling it life-changing. Likewise on Facebook, there were two positive reviews, representing knowledgeable, caring staff and successful recovery experiences.
WHAT FRIENDS & FAMILY SAY
Two of the three loved ones polled by Rehabs.com rated their likelihood to recommend Cornerstone of Rhinebeck three stars, and one would not recommend the program to others. They agreed on three-star ratings for the staff’s level of training and experience and concurred with alumni on limited holistic therapy. Poor staff communication and insufficient access to counseling were repeated concerns.

AnonymousMy exhusband needed help asap from what I did see of the place and the programs offered it was where he needed to be, but he did not stay long enough to fully be rehabilitated, this is not the facilities fault but his own.
