Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health operates multiple locations nationwide, and the Texas location is a private nonprofit, facility, which makes up about 43 percent of all Texas facilities. Located in League City, Texas, the Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health location is one of the 108 (25.1 percent) of Texas facilities that offers residential treatment services. Programming is available for teens and young adults who are struggling with substance abuse and mental health disorders.


According to Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health's website, the adolescent programs helps individual between 13 and 22 years old. The program is designed to provide long-term services to clients with a range of emotional, behavioral, developmental disorders, or chemical dependency.

Each client receives individualized treatment plans, but programming typically includes individual, group, and family counseling. Clients participate in pre-vocational programs and educational programs. Therapy groups cover topics such as trauma, social skills, and long-term and daily goals.

The center's goal is to offer a structured, safe, and therapeutic program while utilizing age-appropriate programming. According to the facility's website, the intensive treatment program offers a higher staff-to-client ratio, and client visit psychiatrists more than the long-term program. The center is one of the 115 (26.7 percent) of Texas facilities that offers specific programming for adolescents.


Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health's website notes the treatment team includes nurses, physicians, board-certified psychiatrist, masters-level therapists, nurses, special-education certified teachers, licensed chemical dependency counselor, recreational therapist, unit manager, case coordinator, and mental health technicians.
