Review by Rehabs.com Contributors

Eleventh Hour is a family owned and operated substance abuse rehabilitation center that provides short-term, intensive outpatient (IOP) and day (PHP) treatment services in the Fresno-Clovis area. One of just 517 (39.4 percent) IOPs in the state of California, the private organization was opened in 1988 to fill the gap in affordable quality treatment options in the San Joaquin Valley.

Treatment services at the Eleventh Hour are highly structured and comprehensive, providing clients with a curriculum of educational sessions, recovery planning, individual and group therapy, and 12-step involvement. The admissions process begins with paperwork and a health history.

The most intensive option, day treatment meets weekdays for six hours daily over the course a five-week period. A weekly family group session is also included. The lesser intensive IOP generally lasts nine weeks and meets three days a week for three hours at a time, either morning or evening.

Both PHP and IOP tracks entail process and education groups designed to help clients understand addiction and requires that participants attend three AA or NA meetings per week. The IOP also uses a 12-step model and focuses on the development of a relapse prevention plan, coping skills, and the identification and expression of emotions.

Clients who’ve successfully completed a phase of treatment at Eleventh Hour can access up to six months of peer-led aftercare support groups. Aftercare seminars cover topics including nutrition, money management, relationships, and motivation. Family involvement is encouraged at all stages.

The Eleventh Hour boasts a 3:1 staff client to staff ratio, according to its website. The center is run by its founder, a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), and her daughter, a certified alcohol and drug counselor (CADC).

While Rehabs.com has yet to receive any feedback from program alumni, the Eleventh Hour has positive feedback from over a dozen individuals across Yelp and Facebook combined. In one such report, alum J.R. gave five stars and told Yelp: “They saved my life. I will be forever grateful.”[1] On Facebook, reviewers described the support groups as "informational".[2]

In the sole Rehabs.com survey by a loved one to date, an anonymous individual gave the facility five out of five stars for the treatment effectiveness, meals, accommodations, staff’s level of training and experience, exercise and leisure opportunities, and more. She also described the staff as “great,” “personable and experienced.” Would def recommend,” she told Rehabs.com.

In the sole survey response from a staff member, R.C. told of a family owned and operated business that’s open “over 27 years.” She also gave five out of five stars for the medical staff, the willingness to put patients’ interests first, and the overall quality of patient treatment and care.

The Eleventh Hour is a privately funded program and one of just 734 (56.0 percent) facilities in California that accept private insurance. Payment plans can also be arranged for where needed. Up to six months of weekly aftercare is available at no charge for clients who’ve completed treatment.
