TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Fairland Center is one of Mississippi’s 22 long-term, non-hospital treatment facilities with an average length of stay up to 35 days. However, the program is self-paced so that clients can stay as long as they need to obtain and maintain sobriety.
The facility takes a holistic approach to treatment. Clients work with qualified case managers to determine the best method of treatment and to facilitate treatments. All clients undergo an initial assessment to determine an appropriate level of care. Treatment for includes individual, couples, and family therapy, case management services, on-site psychiatric services and medication management, psychological evaluations, and community education.
The program also offers workshops on parenting skills, anger management, and pain management. Fairland Center is also one of four facilities in the state that allow parents to bring young children with them to the facility. A full-time registered nurse is on-hand to help care for the children and help identify and treat early signs of drug-induced developmental deficiencies in the children.
Outpatient services include counseling for individuals, couples, and families, DUI assessments, addiction education, and access to 12-step support groups. The 12-step group, in particular, is a common and effective method of treatment as 73 percent of U.S. treatment facilities use it in their operations.
