About Glenbeigh Outpatient Treatment

Glenbeigh offers a multi-disciplinary drug rehabilitation program and alcohol rehabilitation program based upon an abstinence-based, disease-concept model of treatment. Our program treats the medical, spiritual and emotional needs of our patients; we treat the whole person. Glenbeigh Inpatient treatment offers the full compliment of services to patients.

Intensive Out Patient (IOP)

Patients who undergo intensive outpatient treatment continue to live at home and sometimes go to school or work while participating in a highly structured treatment protocol that is focused on ending substance abuse. Programs vary in terms of how much treatment patients receive, how often and for how long. Some facilities design individualized intensive outpatient treatment programs.

Medical Detoxification

Drugs and alcohol have widespread effects throughout your body, including but not limited to the addiction and/or physical/psychological dependence that develops with substance abuse over time. Many organ systems are affected by addiction and will react to withdrawal. The term “medical detoxification” means that there is a trained and licensed medical professional onsite to monitor your vital signs and protect your physical and emotional health as your body goes through withdrawal.

Glenbeigh Outpatient Treatment is a network of outpatient addiction treatment centers operated by Ashtabula County Medical Center, a private, nonprofit, community-oriented hospital located in Ashtabula.

The facility at this address, in a suburban setting six miles northwest of Canton, Ohio, offers outpatient care at a variety of intensities. There's also a flagship center in Rock Creek and outpatient centers in Niles, Beachwood, and elsewhere.

The highest level of care at the Canton center is an intensive outpatient program (IOP), which meets for three hours, four days a week. Clients may attend in the daytime or the evening, whichever suits their schedule better. The IOP involves weekly family counseling and education as well as training, for clients, in how to avoid relapse. Though Glenbeigh provides little further information about its outpatient program, the organization's inpatient/residential care uses a combination of 12-step programming and individual, group, and family therapy, suggesting that a similarly traditional roster of treatments might be on the menu at the outpatient facilities. The facility hosts several AA meetings on-site every week, further indicating that the 12-Steps play a significant role in the center's treatment ethos.

Once they've completed the IOP, clients can enroll for weekly continuing care groups, also available in the daytime or the evening. And outside of formal programs, assessments and individual sessions can be scheduled as needed.

According to Glenbeigh's website, staff across the whole organization includes physicians, nurses, certified chemical dependency counselors, psychiatrists, social workers, and members of the clergy — however, it's not clear which of these professionals works at the Canton center.

REVIEWS has not yet received any reviews from this facility’s alumni, affiliated friends or family members, or staff, and neither did approved secondary sites yield any review coverage at the time of this writing.

For self-paying clients, an assessment costs $400, a three-hour IOP session costs $150, and group therapy costs $50. Glenbeigh participates in more than 60 managed care networks.
