Review by Rehabs.com Contributors

In operation since 1977, the Hedrick House is a sober living home for men fraught with alcoholism and addiction in Tucson, Ariz. Potential applicants - individuals seeking a supportive recovery environment as well as those referred from various county agencies - must be drug and alcohol free for at least 72 hours before admission.

A week at Hedrick House is structured. While enrolled, men are expected to attend on-site 12-step meetings, obtain employment, be on time for nightly curfews, and adhere to random drug and alcohol testing.

Following 30 days of successful program attendance and compliance with house rules, men can apply for overnight passes. If granted, they’ll be free to leave after the Friday night meeting and be back in time for the Sunday night meeting.

There is currently no information provided by the nonprofit regarding its treatment staff.

As an organization, the Hedrick House can accommodate as many as 65 men across 12 different homes, four to eight men per home.

Men are also required to follow some strict curfews: they’ll be home by 5 p.m. in the first week and by 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday thereafter.

Rehabs.com has not yet received any reviews from this facility’s alumni, affiliated friends or family members, or staff, though feedback on secondary sources was mostly positive.

To date, Hedrick House has a near-perfect average rating of 4.9 out of five stars from 19 Facebook users[1] as well as a more mediocre rating of 2.6 stars from five Google reviewers.[2] Former residents expressed gratitude for a supportive recovery environment and of a camaraderie amongst individuals getting their lives together. “It was in the house that I learned responsibility, honesty, and integrity,” wrote Stuart in a representative review on Facebook.

Room and board, including three meals a day, comes to $140 per week. The nonprofit maintains that those “who for whatever reason are un able or un willing to pay their fee in a reasonable amount of time will be asked to leave.”

Official Facility Response

Rehabs.com collects thousands of User Reviews weekly to collect the most up-to-date information possible on treatment facilities across the country. The opinions shared in User Reviews are expressly those of the user, and do not reflect the thoughts, beliefs, or opinions of Rehabs.com. Per our policies, we do not remove User Reviews at the request of a facility.

Treatment facilities can and are encouraged to respond directly to any User Review, positive or negative. In fact, visitors are more likely to favorably consider a facility that actively responds to criticism (and praise!) to one that doesn’t.

Please leave your Facility Response below using a verified facility-specific email address. A representative from Rehabs.com will vet your response within two business days to ensure it meets our standards for public posting. Rehabs.com retains the right to contact anyone who leaves a review via our website to confirm authenticity.

As always, thank you for your feedback, and for your willingness to work with us as we move forward in developing the most comprehensive and trusted rehab reviews and listings platform.
