ABOUT HILL RECOVERY ALCOHOL & DRUG TREATMENT
Founded in 1986 and located just off I-15 in Temecula, southern Calif., Hill Recovery Alcohol & Drug Treatment offers outpatient treatment and outpatient-based detox for individuals struggling with substance abuse. It is worth noting that only 15.1% of facilities in California offer outpatient-based detox.
Positioning itself as an affordable and effective alternative to residential treatment, the facility also offers a range of ancillary services, including interventions, court evaluations, expert witness testimony, drug testing, employer assistance programs, and family therapy.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
To treat its clientele, Hill Recovery uses 12-step participation along with other clinical and therapeutic methods. If detoxification is necessary, the facility utilizes buprenorphine, Naltrexone, Campral, and other medications scientifically shown minimize the discomfort of withdrawal and help curb cravings. In California, the facility is among the 25.2 percent of facilities to utilize buprenorphine.
At the highest level of care, the partial hospitalization program (PHP) involves six hours of programming per day, Monday through Friday. Program components include group and individual counseling, education, 12-step meetings, medical supervision, relapse prevention training, anger management, and weekly family nights. Graduates of PHP receive lifetime aftercare services.
Using similar treatment modalities, the intensive outpatient program (IOP) meets three times a week, three hours at a time, for a total of eight weeks. Six months of weekly aftercare sessions are included in the cost of the IOP. The center also runs a dedicated treatment program for opioid abuse.
Hill Recovery's treatment team includes a physician who is board-certified in family practice, a board-certified psychiatrist, and both master’s and bachelor’s level counselors. The two Rehabs.com survey respondents polled on the staff’s level of training and experience to date gave two stars and four out of five stars, respectively.
