ABOUT HOPE HOUSE
Located in Anaheim, Calif., Hope House provides residential addiction treatment services to adult residents of Orange County. The facility accepts self-referred individuals as well as court-ordered clients and those on probation and parole. Clients with co-occurring disorders are admitted on a case-by-case basis. In California, the facility is among the 39.9 percent of facilities to provide specialized programming for criminal justice clients.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
All clients are pre-screened prior to admission to ensure that Hope House is the appropriate treatment option. Hope House offers 30- 60- and 90-day programs. Programming is designed to address the behaviors and emotions behind addiction and teach clients how to control their impulses and addictive behaviors.
Treatment is highly structured and divided into three phases. Clients participate in one-on-one counseling once a week and small group therapy twice a week, along with 10 hours of weekly addiction education. Education groups include Seeking Safety, anger management, relapse prevention, and life skills workshops centered around cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). According to a 2017 SAMHSA survey, 22.6 percent of non-hospital treatment facilities in California offer long-term residential care.
Clients also participate in 12-step study groups and attend regular Alcoholic Anonymous (AA) and Narcotics Anonymous (NA) meetings, which are held on-site. Outpatient services are available to clients who have successfully graduated from the residential program. Hope House also provides clients aftercare.

ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES
Hope House can accommodate up to 56 clients at a time. During the first 15 days of treatment, residents are not allowed outside contact with friends or family, with the exception of children under 17. After a month, clients begin to receive visitation privileges.
