TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
According to Hope House Treatment Center's website, treatment starts with an assessment to create an individualized treatment plan. Treatment uses the 12-Steps and is based on the disease model. Treatment may include yoga therapy, acupuncture, methadone monitored maintenance, and gambling counseling.
The residential program offers short-term care; the length of stay ranges from 14 to 28 days. Treatment begins with a comprehensive assessment and goes on to include an introduction to the 12-Steps, individual and group counseling focusing on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychiatric and medical treatment as required, relapse prevention, and education about the nature of addiction. Families are invited to attend weekly counseling sessions.
The IOP focuses on 12-step treatment alongside other clinical methods and is offered in the evenings, to suit those with daytime commitments.
An alumni association hosts multiple meetings each week, plus a monthly family meeting. The treatment team helps clients with aftercare placement.
