Andrea is the founder and owner of Path 2 Progress, a service which offers families and individuals a safe place to seek support, and gain tools necessary to be successful in taking the first steps towards a positive change. She graduated from Alabama A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in social work. With a passion for people, and a desire to specialize in therapy, she continued her education by pursuing a master’s degree in clinical social work at Barry University. Following the completion of those degrees, she has eleven years of experience providing therapy and intervention to individuals, families, couples, and groups on a professional level. In addition to providing therapy, she has worked for many non-profit organizations in the South Florida region, and developed multiple children, family prevention, and juvenile delinquency programs, including one that is tracked and studied by the State Legislature.

Josh is a psychotherapist who earned his BSW from Barry University, and MSW from Arizona State University. He has practiced psychotherapy with individuals, groups, and families for many years. He has extensive experience in working with clients from diverse populations struggling with chemical dependency. Based in seaside Boynton Beach, Fla., IntoAction Treatment LLC prides itself on being a holistic treatment center. Treating both addictions and co-occurring mental conditions, IntoAction provides residential, outpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs in addition to medical detoxification.


Treatment begins with an official assessment. Blending holistic options with cognitive behavioral therapy and trauma resolution therapy, IntoAction addresses individualized issues. Clients will participate in family, group, and individual therapy. The 12-Steps are implemented into therapy, along with holistic options.

Holistic treatment includes beach-side meditation, yoga, vibroacoustic therapy (using sound waves to stimulate brain function) and art and harmonial therapy. IntoAction employs a chiropractor and massage therapists and clients can receive acupuncture and Reiki treatments. Clients are also given the option to visit the gym three times week, and they can receive counseling from a nutritionist. Additionally, a smoke cessation program is offered.

Before exiting the program, clients can complete a relapse prevention plan (that incorporates religious foundations) and set up a plan for aftercare. Halfway houses are available for recovering clients. Alumni events and outings are organized by the facility, and alumni can participate in life skills training and education and employment support.


IntoAction Treatment staffs medical personnel, social workers, therapists, case managers, and at least one licensed mental health counselor, a registered art therapist, and certified trauma specialist. as well as a yoga instructor, chiropractor, dietitian, and art director.[1]


This 22-bed facility has gendered accommodations with shared bedrooms for clients. Residents will have access to a full kitchen and large living areas. Weekly barbecues, outings, and access to on-site gyms and massage therapists.

At the time of this writing there has been one alum polled by The reviewer expressed her experience was positive and praised the facility’s holistic offerings and focus on family connections. The anonymous client gave the facility four out of five stars for treatment effectiveness, three stars for accommodations & amenities, and one star for meals and nutrition.

She was neutral on the availability of counseling options to choose from, agreed that the facility was adequately equipped and staffed to treat co-occurring mental health problems in addition to substance use disorders, and agreed that the facility staff were experienced and well-trained. She felt that the facility could improve upon meals and nutrition, stating that the food was horrible. Overall, the anonymous client stated the program is “a great option for anyone looking for help,” and that the staff ensures clients get the treatment they need.

On the facility’s Facebook page, which it can manage, there is an overall rating of 4.5 out of five stars based on 30 total reviews.[1] The majority of reviews are overwhelmingly positive, although three reviewers expressed strong dissatisfaction with the facility. Reviewer H.S., who gave five stars, emphasized that the staff seemed genuinely caring and invested in the clients. She wrote, “Into Action is probably one of the most unique and truly caring treatment centers in Florida.” D.S., an alum, did not agree with that viewpoint. She gave one star and wrote, "This place is not for me...this program is geared more towards young adults."


At the time of this writing has received no reviews from friends or family members. On the facility’s Facebook page, which it can manage, loved one M.A. gave five out of five stars and wrote a positive review of the facility. She wrote, "I don't no how to express the appreciation and CARE that into action treatment has DONE and is doing for my SON . . . Thanks to all who stepped into his life.”


The facility’s website indicates that most insurance plans are accepted, including Cigna, Aetha, BCBS, GHI, and United Healthcare. IntoAction also accepts donations for their scholarship clients and will work with private insurance providers.

The facility had a great holistic approach and the Staff were great. The food was horrible! I think that this is a great option for anyone looking for help they will help you in any way to ensure that you get the treatment you need.
