Review by Rehabs.com Contributors

Kaiser Permanente operates more than 600 medical facilities around the country, including Its Vallejo Medical Center in the North Bay Region of the San Francisco area. Located off of the main campus in a nearby facility, the Vallejo Medical Center's chemical dependency recovery program (CDRP) provides outpatient treatment to individuals struggling with substance use disorder. The facility is also one of 37 hospital-based substance abuse treatment facilities in California (less than three percent of all facilities in the state) to offer medically monitored detox services.

While the Vallejo Medical Center’s website does not include a description of its CDRP, Kaiser Permanente information regarding similar programs at other facilities indicates that educational sessions and individual and group counseling are the basis of its treatment programming. The website of the nearby Filmore facility, for example, offers a day treatment program and an intensive outpatient program (IOP), along with special programs for adolescents, gay men, and clients with co-occurring disorders.

According to CiteHealth, medication assisted therapy (MAT), including methadone maintenance, is also offered at the Vallejo CDRP.

More than a dozen psychologists, one psychiatrist, and half a dozen master's level therapists and licensed social workers are listed on this facility's website.

The two former clients polled by Rehabs.com to date indicated that they would recommend the Vallejo CDRP to others. Both agreed that the staff were well-trained and experienced, that the facility offered flexibility in a choice of counseling options, and that the building was clean and well maintained. "There is so much to benefit from Kaiser CDRP, I highly recommend this program," wrote Jennifer in a representative review.

On Google[1], the Vallejo CDRP received one five-star rating from Stephanie, who wrote: "Very good staff and experience."

Kaiser Permanente offers its own healthcare coverage plans for its network of facilities. Based on a sliding scale determined by the client’s income, these plans may be partly or completely subsidized through the Affordable Care Act. The Vallejo Medical Center also accepts Medi-Cal, Medicaid, and Medicare. It is among the 18 and 29 percent of California facilities to accept Medicare and Medicaid, respectively.

Official Facility Response

Rehabs.com collects thousands of User Reviews weekly to collect the most up-to-date information possible on treatment facilities across the country. The opinions shared in User Reviews are expressly those of the user, and do not reflect the thoughts, beliefs, or opinions of Rehabs.com. Per our policies, we do not remove User Reviews at the request of a facility.

Treatment facilities can and are encouraged to respond directly to any User Review, positive or negative. In fact, visitors are more likely to favorably consider a facility that actively responds to criticism (and praise!) to one that doesn’t.

Please leave your Facility Response below using a verified facility-specific email address. A representative from Rehabs.com will vet your response within two business days to ensure it meets our standards for public posting.
