ABOUT LONE WOLF RECOVERY, LLC
Located in the community of Winsted, Minn., 42 miles west of Minneapolis, Lone Wolf Recovery, LLC provides outpatient-based programming for adults and adolescents struggling with substance abuse. In operation for over 20 years, the outpatient facility also offers specialized educational programs for DUI offenders, as well as an individualized program for individuals with difficulties controlling anger. In Minnesota, the facility is among the 23.6 percent of facilities to provide specialized programming for criminal justice clients.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Upon admission into Lone Wolf Recovery, clients participate in an initial substance abuse history assessment to ensure the facility’s outpatient level of care is appropriate. For DUI offenders, the evaluation may also serve to satisfy court requirements and determine an appropriate level of programming. Lone Wolf is one of 79 facilities in the state to offer programs for DUI offenders.
Outpatient programs to treat substance abuse disorders typically combine psychotherapy with educational classes to address various issues concerning substance abuse and equip clients with the skills necessary to maintain sobriety. These classes may include coping skills, trigger avoidance techniques, and other methods to prevent relapse. To identify the underlying emotional, social, and psychological causes of addiction, clients may participate in a weekly schedule of individual and group therapy sessions.
The facility may also introduce clients to community-based support fellowships, such as 12-Step. According to Lone Wolf Recovery's website, the facility is small enough to provide individualized programming for each client.
Lone Wolf Recovery provides three tiers of educational programs for DUI offenders. The intensity of the program may be determined by the seriously of the charge, the individuals history of substance abuse, and any state requirements for license reinstatement. The specialized programs combine chemical dependency awareness with Driving with Care classes.
The Level I DUI Program entails 12 hours of driving classes and eight hours of substance abuse classes, while Level II involves 24 hours of driving classes and 12 hours of addiction-focused sessions. Level III, the most intensive level of programming, includes one-on-one therapy and 16 hours of substance abuse classes. Along with its DUI Programs, the facility is also among the 20.8 percent of facilities to provide specialized programming for adolescents..
Lone Wolf Recovery's anger management program involves individual therapy and eight hours of educational classes regarding anger regulation. According to the facility's website, all clients are encouraged to enroll into the alumni program, which is peer-led and involves planning various projects and events, such as fundraising efforts and recreational activities.

While Rehabs.com has yet to receive alumni feedback at the time of this writing, secondary sources revealed positive alumni opinions of the facility. On the facility's Facebook page, which Lone Star may have the ability to manage, three individuals all gave the facility perfect five out of five-star ratings.  "I honestly really enjoy going there for my treatment," Jason, a representative reviewer, wrote.
WHAT STAFF SAY
The sole staff member polled by Rehabs.com at the time of this provided positive feedback. The survey respondent gave ratings of five out of five stars for the staff's level of experience and training and the facility's dedication to client interest. The employee described the facility as a "trusting, comfortable environment for clients to open up."
While no information is available concerning the facility's cost, the surveyed employee did suggest that the facility accepts private insurance and offered a four-star rating for its overall affordability.
