Providence Behavioral Health Hospital, located in Holyoke, Mass., offers inpatient, outpatient, and detoxification treatment to clients of all ages struggling with acute psychiatric and/or substance use disorders. TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
To be admitted, clients may call the facility 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Most clients remain in acute inpatient treatment for four to seven days. Enhanced acute treatment, which is intended for clients who have a dual diagnosis, can last from several days to several weeks. In addition to a traditional outpatient program, Providence Behavioral Health Hospital offers an intensive outpatient program called Pathways which meets three to five times per week.The facility also provides a methadone maintenance program for clients who are addicted to opioids.

Throughout treatment, clients receive daily individual and group counseling, medical evaluations and treatment, laboratory and toxicology testing, addiction education, case management, external referrals, and recovery support. Families are included in the treatment program through family education programming and family therapy.

One alum outright stated that there were "no physical activities" during their stay. Holistic offerings also polled poorly, receiving a low average score of 2.2 out of five stars, with only one alum rating the category above two-stars.
WHAT FRIENDS & FAMILY SAY
The only friend of family member polled by Rehabs.com at time of writing gave a generally positive review of the facility. The anonymous loved one gave the facility two out of five stars for family participation and connectivity, they perfect five-star ratings in metrics like treatment effectiveness, the facility's ability to treat co-occurring disorders, and the staff's level of training and experience. The loved one wrote: “Providence catholic hospital has been taking care of addicts for decades especially when no one else would,let's be thankful to those wonderful people that help change people's lives for the better.”
