About Midwood Addiction Treatment
At Midwood Addiction Treatment center we focus on treating each individual differently. No two people struggle with the same issues or challenges when getting sober. We focus on not only treating the substance abuse issues but assisting with the mental health issues as well. Our goal is to go above and beyond for each and every client so that they can live a happy and healthy life.
Trauma & Associative Awareness Therapy (AAT)
Associative Awareness Therapy (AAT) uses the brain’s innate ability to adapt to change in a healing way, essentially “retraining” the brain to respond differently to familiar memories of trauma or pain.
Dual Diagnosis/Co-Occurring Disorders Treatment
These two terms describe a person who is not only addicted to drugs or alcohol, but also has a mental or emotional illness, such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, etc. Facilities that treat patients with dual-diagnosis or co-occurring disorders provide psychiatric treatment in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation services.
This term describes one-on-one therapy, in which a patient and trained counselor, social worker, psychologist or psychiatrist meets privately with a patient to discuss challenges related to lifestyle, work, family and romantic relationships that may have contributed to the development of an addiction.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
The focus of cognitive behavioral therapy (also called CBT) is helping people to understand the thoughts and emotions that underlie their addiction with the goal of learning new, healthier and more productive ways to understand and express themselves.

FrankOne of the best facilities I ever been too. Great environment great people. They actually show you how to live a clean and sober lifestyle and how to maintain it. This place saved my life and countless others. If you want to get clean and sober this is the place to go to if you r actually trying to and want to live a better way of life. God bless
JPWe were completely misled as to the ability of this treatment facility to help our daughter. We were assured that the team was completely capable of handling her recovery, while in reality that was not the case. The main treatment center presented in the photos was not an accurate representation at all. It is not well maintained and was very unclean. The staff was very nice, but clearly was more interested in getting us signed up and insurance paid than working to get a treatment plan in place. We do not recommend this facility to anyone with predominantly mental health conditions.
NickMidwood Addiction Treatment is one of the top treatment centers in the Carolina's! The facility is an overall family atmosphere. This facility does not have many beds to go around so unfortunately at times there is a waiting list.
