ABOUT OGDEN REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER – ACT
Nestled in a mountain town known for its ski resorts and sports fishing, the Alcohol and Chemical Treatment Center (ACT) at Ogden Regional Medical Center is one of the oldest alcohol and chemical dependency treatment programs in Utah. Founded in 1973, the facility offers residential and outpatient treatment to adults struggling with substance use disorder. The facility is also one of only five hospital-based treatment programs in Utah (just two percent of all facilities in the state) to provide medical detox.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Clients are accessed upon admission in order to be provided with the proper level of care. Treatment is evidence-based and included modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and traditional 12-step methodology.
In addition to detox, the facility offers inpatient treatment (which can last up to 30 days) and a residential program (which can last between 30 and 90 days). Both programs include group therapy, family education, and relapse prevention workshops.
Outpatient options include a 28-day partial hospitalization program (PHP) and an eight-week intensive outpatient program (IOP). A weekly continuing care program is offered to all graduates for up to two years.
According to the facility's website, the treatment center encourages family members to participate in the treatment process.
