While outpatient services are available to adults, children and seniors, IOPs are designed for adults only.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

Hillcrest Behavioral Health Services offers a holistic approach to treatment that addresses the physical, psychological, and spiritual needs of its clients. Individualized treatment plans are developed through collaboration between staff, clients, and family members. Hillcrest clients are also able access comprehensive medical care at Ohio Valley Medical Center to address specialized health needs.

STAFF CREDENTIALS

Hillcrest Behavioral Health Services employs a qualified team of psychiatrists, master’s level therapists, registered nurses, medical assistants, and social workers. A physician is also on-call at all times. The five individuals polled by Rehabs.com at the time of this writing gave an average rating of 2.4 out of five stars for the treatment staff’s level of experience and training.

WHAT ALUMNI SAY

The sole former patient polled by Rehabs.com at the time of this writing reported a poor experience at the facility. The alum gave ratings of one star for the facility’s level of family participation, two stars for its counseling options, and two stars for its ability to treat co-occurring disorders. “Do not how to correctly diagnose mental disorders or treat correctly. The staff was not knowledgable,” the alum wrote. They did, however, give five out of five stars for the facility's affordability.

The few reviews on secondary sites are equally negative. Two reviewers on Google each rated the facility only one out of five stars. [1]

WHAT FRIENDS & FAMILY SAY

Collectively, the four survey respondents gave an average rating of two out of five stars for the level of family participation and holistic offerings, as well as 2.5 stars for the likelihood that they would recommend the facility to others.

In contrast to the alumni review, several loved ones felt the program was costly, especially related to the overall quality of care. “Not very affordable, and not worth the cost given the quality of treatment,” a loved one wrote. “Seemed to be just a place to go and get released like ok your here do this and now you have done your time and you can leave,” another anonymous loved wrote wrote. The four loved ones gave an average rating of only 2.5 stars for the program’s overall treatment effectiveness.

Not all reviews were negative, however. Offering five out of five stars for the facility’s ability to treat co-occurring disorders, an anonymous family member wrote: “The staff our family encountered was very empathetic for the family as well as the client.”

the staff our family encountered was very empathetic for the family as well as the client. seemed to have a rather high staff/client ratio. if you're serious about kicking your addiction, these people will help you. If you're not serious about it, it doesn't matter where you go.

Polite caring staff and cleanliness. seems to be ineffective and lacks in professionlism. Just didnt feel that people cared so much about helping others. Seemed to be just a place to go and get released like ok your here do this and now you have done your time and you can leave.

I liked the proximity, but it was a costly treatment. Not allowed to know anything, do not see medical doctors. You do however get padded bills from people who did nothing for you
