TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

Acute-care inpatient services are provided for individuals of all ages who require immediate stabilization. During their brief stay at the hospital, individuals receiving acute care will receive participate in individual, group, and family therapy, recreational therapy, and discharge planning, which begins on the day of intake. Where necessary, acute-care clients also receive medication management and education services, and detoxing individuals also participate in relapse-prevention sessions.
The center also offers less intensive residential services for adolescent boys and girls aged 12 to 17 who are struggling with emotional and/or behavioral issues, including substance use disorder, that exhibit themselves frequently and disruptively. The program is trauma-informed, and uses modalities including gender-specific programming, substance use education, and psychoeducation. Residents also participate in schooling.
There are partial hospitalization programs (PHPs) and intensive outpatient programs (IOPs) for both adults and adolescents, which use similar treatment modalities to residential treatment, at staggered intensities. The adolescent IOP allows clients to keep attending school during treatment.
Upon discharge, all clients are matched with a mental-health provider in their community, with whom they meet for a follow-up appointment.
