Peninsula Behavioral Health (affiliated with Parkwest Medical Center) operates Peninsula Hospital in Louisville, Tenn. Favorable feedback tended to feature the staff and overall treatment, while criticism cited poor accommodations and inadequate activity, especially time outside. A couple of alumni described rude treatment by staff in otherwise positive reviews.
“I was treated very good and thought the doctor was excellent,” S.P. wrote in a representative comment. Another alum concurred with a Rehabs.com reviewer that Peninsula Hospital provided inadequate help in addressing long-term recovery. H.J. wrote of the staff that she “liked all of them,” but the beds and food “were horrible".

The two loved ones polled by Rehabs.com also observed the limitations of short-term inpatient treatment, but reported overall effective treatment for their family members.
About a dozen of the Google reviews for Peninsula Hospital were from friends and family members, whose opinions trended toward negative. About one-third cited poor communication from the facility as a weakness. Loved ones also repeatedly characterized the treatment (including references to Peninsula Behavioral Health’s outpatient programming) as inadequate. “My wife had a good (sometimes boring) experience and received great treatment,” loved one B.M. wrote, while noting that follow-up care was infrequent and disappointing.
A sole CiteHealth review, posted by an alum’s parent, reported that “it was three days before the doctor called us” after their daughter’s admittance. “It was a safe place, but that would be about it,” they concluded.
