WHAT ALUMNI SAY
The two alumni surveyed by Rehabs.com both gave reviews that were mostly positive. In particular, both gave perfect five-star ratings for treatment effectiveness and meal quality and both respondents praised the staff’s level of experience and training.
Alum M.S. wrote that she made a “great decision” to attend treatment at Roger William. “All the staff are trained for addiction issues and if by any chance something went wrong with your health u are right in the hospital,” she wrote. Alum C.S. added: “It really helped me to learn about the disease of alcoholism and addiction.”
Despite giving positive reviews overall, the two alumni gave low ratings for exercise and leisure activities and holistic programming. They also gave more neutral ratings to the range of counseling options.
Roger Williams as a whole earned an average 4.1 out of five stars based on over 300 reviews on its Facebook page, which facility staff can manage. Reviews on Google were less positive. However, reviews on both sites were not necessarily applicable to the behavioral health or substance misuse treatment in particular.
WHAT FRIENDS & FAMILY SAY
Though Rehabs.com has yet to receive any feedback from friends or family of clients, six loved ones gave highly negative reviews on Google. Two of the six gave reviews were specific to the substance misuse treatment. Both of these reviewers complained about long waits and trouble accessing treatment. "My daughter went here to get help with a drug addiction. She was there for 2 hours and they sent her home," Jon wrote in a representative review. Several loved ones also expressed feeling that the hospital cared more about money than patients.
