Located in Belvidere, Ill., Rosecrance Belvidere Clinic is an outpatient treatment facility for adults struggling with substance abuse, mental health disorders, and co-occurring disorders who reside in the Boone County area. TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Rosecrance Belvidere offers a variety of specialized services, including mental health screenings, crisis intervention services, psychiatry services, and substance abuse outpatient services. Treatment may include individual and group therapy, psychosocial rehabilitation, and case management.
Twelve-Step facilitation also plays a major component in substance abuse treatment. An alum polled by Rehabs.com noted that the treatment is heavily based in 12-Step, and according to the alum, 12-step meetings are offered on-site three times per week.
Appointments may be scheduled in advance or available on a walk-in basis. Clients are referred to applicable community resources and programs to address any other concerns and receive additional support.
The treatment team consists of psychiatrists, counselors, and social workers. The facility is part of the 25.8 percent of facilities in Illinois accredited by the Joint Commission.
WHAT ALUMNI SAY
At the time of this writing, Rehabs.com has received one review from an alum of Rosecrance Belvidere. The alum gave the facility just one out of five stars for its treatment effectiveness and noted the limits of the 12-step approach. "They like most rehabs are in bed with Alcoholics Anonymous. They force people to go to, I think, 3 meetings a week. Some people don\'t buy into AA," the alum wrote.
On Google, however, reviews are largely positive, indicated by an average rating of four out of five-star rating. Alum Michael wrote: "Very helpful and very caring to your needs," while alum Doss added: "Went there for months. Staff and people were great."
According to the facility's brochure, the facility accepts private health insurance and Medicaid, placing the facility among the 24.3 percent of the facilities in the state that accept Medicaid. Financial assistance is available for those who qualify, based on availability.
