The Santa Rosa Treatment Program (SRTP) of Santa Rosa, Calif., is a private for-profit facility, which make up about 34 percent of all treatment facilities. SRTP offers medication assisted treatment (MAT), like methadone and buprenorphine, and counseling services for individuals with various levels of opioid dependency.

The clinic is open Monday through Friday, from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. and has dispensing hours from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. on weekends from 7 to 10 a.m.

The three-hour intake process begins weekdays at 6 a.m. Walk-ins are accepted, though the clinic suggests prospective clients schedule their screening ahead of time, as availability is limited.

SRTP runs three separate tracks to treat opiate dependency. The first provides daily methadone maintenance for those with more than a year of opioid dependency, the second is a 180-day detox for those with less than a year of dependency, and the third uses buprenorphine, also to help eliminate cravings. SRTP is one of the 331 (25.2 percent) of California treatment facilities to provide Suboxone.

These programs start with a clinical assessment and medical evaluation and pair clients with therapists for one-on-one counseling.

The outpatient clinic employs counselors and case managers. SRTP is one of the 366 (27.9 percent) of California treatment facilities that are CARF-accredited.

Feedback was highly mixed across secondary sources. On CiteHealth, the facility has two five-star reviews, while on Yelp, the facility has three one-star reviews, plus one five-star review that is not currently recommended.[1][2]

While two Yelp reviewers claimed that the clinic stole methadone doses, two CiteHealth reviewers called SRTP an “Awesome place” with “great people and a very welcoming environment."

Treatment costs are outlined on the clinic’s website. Both the methadone maintenance program and the 180-day detox program come to $425 per month and buprenorphine costs $400 for an initial visit and $135 for each session thereafter. The facility accepts MediCal, Kaiser, and other insurance plans for the methadone and buprenorphine programs but cash only for the 80-detox.
