Treatment Center Setting
Scottsdale Recovery Center Philosophy
Scottsdale Recovery Center aspires to set a whole new standard for long-term success within a demographic that is all too familiar with the horrors of addiction and relapse. In helping younger adults to identify their skills, rebuild their hopes, recreate their lives and rejuvenate their perceived values of their life’s journey, we WILL make history…one addict at a time, one family at a time. And while some have said that failure can be a learning experience, we choose a new way, a way of unwavering dedication and unbridled ambition toward success, recovery, joy and love! – WELCOME TO SRC!
Areas of Specialization
Facilities that offer “holistic therapy” see and treat patients in the context of their entire lives and health status. They treat the “whole person,” not just the addiction. Scottsdale Recovery Center believes in an individualized treatment process utilizing holistic, traditional and non-traditional treatment modalities.
Dual Diagnosis/ Co-Occurring Disorders Treatment
These two terms describe a person who is not only addicted to drugs or alcohol, but also has a mental or emotional illness, such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, etc. Scottsdale Recovery Center treats patients with dual-diagnosis or co-occurring disorders, providing psychiatric treatment, in addition to, drug and alcohol rehabilitation services.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
The focus of cognitive behavioral therapy (also called CBT) is helping people to understand their thoughts and emotions that underlie their addiction with the goal of learning new, healthier and more productive ways to understand and express themselves. Scottsdale Recovery Center has seen huge success using the CBT model and we are one of the few centers in Arizona that are truly experienced in this field.
Addiction recovery does not end with discharge after completing a rehab program. Scottsdale Recovery Center offers comprehensive aftercare planning and/or support to ALL patients, ensuring sustainable recovery by helping to plan and make arrangements for transitional or sober living, help with housing, vocational counseling, etc. Once you are a member of the SRC family you are always considered family here!
Residential treatment programs provide housing (food and meals) in addition to treatment for substance abuse. Some facilities offer only short-term residential treatment, some offer only long-term treatment and others offer both, ranging from a few days to many months, based on patient needs. Scottsdale Recovery Center offers luxurious and upscale housing in beautiful, private and serene neighborhoods in Scottsdale, AZ. Clients live in our houses for the duration of their treatment stay here at Scottsdale Recovery Center.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, (EMDR), is the latest in psychotherapy for treatment of PTSD, trauma, addiction, stress, and many other emotional troubles. This exciting new technique is revolutionary to the treatment of psyche problems because it effectively treats the problem by rewiring the neuropathways in the brain. At Scottsdale Recovery Center we are proud to offer this innovative therapy to our patients that are battling with addiction, recovery, post traumatic stress disorder, and trauma. EMDR Trauma focused treatment modalities address and conquer any childhood abuse, childhood traumas, adult traumatic events, grief and loss issues and depression. Specifically, we utilize EMDR – Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. This is an integrative psychotherapy approach that has been extensively researched and proven effective for the treatment of trauma. This is a set of standardized protocols that incorporates elements from many different treatment approaches. Somedays just having the group therapies and relapse prevention classes helps me stay positive, and when I really apply myself in those sessions, I feel like I am growing. That’s what seems to work for me right now and having that is really valuable. Thank you Scottsdale Recovery Center for giving me this opportunity of sobriety.
My stay here at your organization has been a very positive one. The accommodations are first class and clean. The main office/treatment center being located above a facility that has various meetings addressing different addictions is a huge plus. Kudos to our house manager, she had a tremendous spirit and heart that fills our home with a positive aura as we work our way toward physical and emotional sobriety!

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Both medical and holistic treatments to support clients’ withdrawal process are offered, including medication-assisted treatment (MAT) involving Suboxone, Naltrexone, or Vivitrol. Sessions with licensed practitioners regarding MAT are scheduled throughout the long-term rehabilitation process. According to a 2016 SAMHSA survey, SRC was among 31 percent of facilities to provide Suboxone.
All clients follow treatment plans tailored to meet their specific needs and situations. Some group and individual therapy sessions are gender-separated and others focus on such topics as executive client experiences, repeated relapses, rehab for pilots, LGBT-specific programs and mental health concerns, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
In addition to common treatment modalities, which at SRC include EMDR therapy and 12-step programs, clients also participate in yoga, guided meditation, and other experiential practices such as equine therapy. Family therapy is also a component of treatment.
SRC offers intervention, life coaching, intensive outpatient treatment, and alumni support meetings as well.
Scottsdale Recovery employs several master’s level therapists, licensed substance abuse counselors, certified life coaches and yoga instructors, and house managers.

WHAT ALUMNI SAY
Three of the four former clients polled by Rehabs.com to date praised the facility, while one alum was critical of the staff and structure of the facility. However, alum Danny strongly disagreed, offering perfect five-star ratings for the staff's level of experience and training, the facility's discharge planning, and its counseling options. "I was an addict for 10 years of my life and it was a miracle that I survived during that time. The facility is very welcoming, upscale and serene," Danny wrote.
Alum Cynthia echoed this sentiment. "Once i was lost, but after 45 days at scottsdale recovery center, i am FOUND! Dont go anywhere else!!" she wrote. Offering a perfect five-star rating for the facility's effectiveness, alum S.L. added: "Truly an amazing place if you want to completely turn your life around!"
Likewise, 31 Google reviews written by a mix of alumni and loved ones provided an average rating of 4.6 out of five for SRC. In a representative review, Shelbie wrote that the treatment program “turned my life around” and that she regained custody of her child. Another alum, Colleen, also reported reconciliation with family members.
Yelp reviewers provided similar, overwhelmingly positive feedback and recommendations. Of 55 reviews, most by former clients, only three were critical. Two mentioned administrative issues related to scheduling and billing, and one focused on their experience of insufficient one-on-one therapy and dual diagnosis treatment. The remaining 52 reviews reflected strong satisfaction with staff, accommodations, and treatment, and several described improved family relations and employment situations.
WHAT FRIENDS & FAMILY SAY
All five loved ones providing Rehabs.com with reviews gave the center excellent feedback.
