With three locations in Texas, Serenity House provides treatment to adults struggling with substance use disorder. This facility, which is located in the countryside two miles outside of Fredericksburg, offers residential treatment for adult men and women. Detox is available at the location in Abilene. Treatment at Serenity House follows 12-Step and includes group therapy, individual therapy, and addiction education, as well as relapse prevention training. Treatment typically lasts 30 days.

Family counseling is also offered, as are groups for clients with co-occurring disorders, which are available in less than half (44.8 percent) of all treatment facilities in Texas.

Free weekly aftercare meetings are available to clients who successfully complete the residential program. Serenity House is also among the 70 percent of facilities in Texas to offer outpatient treatment, which is provided at their location in Wichita Falls.

The treatment team includes master’s-level counselors and chemical dependency counselors. The one alum polled by to date gave the facility five out of five stars for its staff's level of training and experience.

Situated on 20 acres in the Texas hill country, this Serenity House location can acommodate up to 32 clients at a time. The way they help you work the first 5 steps while you are there is great, they even encourage you to get a sponsor...even helping you find one. The way the faculty relate to your addiction...EVERYTHING! As with anywhere, it's the addict's that are not serious about getting sober, as they can take away from others...I am sober three years, without Serenity House, I would be in active addiction! They helped me to start a new life, showed me God, and inspire me to keep going one day at a time. I am friends with the team that helped me is real, hope is real!
