Treatment Center Setting
Synergy Recovery Center for Women Philosophy
Synergy Recovery Center is a private women’s residential recovery home offering a unique treatment experience to the women it serves. Women will experience their healing journey in a trauma informed environment created to foster safety, dignity, and respect.
Synergy Recovery Center provides a holistic approach to recovery utilizing both evidenced based traditional practices along with innovative techniques to encompass the mind, body, and spirit. Providing gender responsive programming was an utmost priority when developing our treatment model. Synergy’s philosophy for addiction treatment stems from a multidimensional perspective to include gender responsive approaches to both environmental and psychosocial challenges. Our model supports individualized treatment and attention to each woman’s needs. Caseloads are small to allow for multiple individual sessions throughout the week and to promote healthy interactions in the center while fostering an atmosphere conducive to personal growth and change
Areas of Specialization
This term describes one-on-one therapy, in which a patient and trained counselor, social worker, psychologist or psychiatrist meets privately with a patient to discuss challenges related to lifestyle, work, family and romantic relationships that may have contributed to the development of an addiction.
Client & Family Support Groups
Group therapy is a vital component of addiction recovery treatment, considered as important and effective (sometimes even more so) than individual therapy. Benefits include reducing isolation and loneliness and providing the opportunity to learn from others in recovery. In the addiction setting, group therapy is run by trained professionals who guide participants toward a shared goal of recovery.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
EMDR is a highly specific, research-validated form of therapy that can help people overcome traumatic stress, anxiety and depression. With EMDR, a trained practitioner uses bilateral stimulation, eye movement and touch to stimulate parts of the brain as a patient recounts certain experiences and memories as a way to more thoroughly process uncomfortable, painful feelings.
Residential treatment programs provide housing (food and meals) in addition to treatment for substance abuse. Some facilities offer only short-term residential treatment, some offer only long-term treatment and others offer both, ranging from a few days to many months, based on patient needs.
Trauma & Associative Awareness Therapy (AAT)
Associative Awareness Therapy (AAT) uses the brain’s innate ability to adapt to change in a healing way, essentially “retraining” the brain to respond differently to familiar memories of trauma or pain.
Synergy is an outstanding recovery center that uses the holistic model to address your past trauma and addiction. I have not many words to describe what Synergy and the caring, loving, and kind individuals that work here have done for me. One month ago I had the pleasure of coming into the best recovery center of a lifetime. Synergy Recovery center offers a truly amazing holistic healing approach to the suffering alcoholic or addict. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity and I grew very attached to this place. The scenery itself is so beautiful and the aura and vibe of the house is always positive and uplifting. There are a variety of classes that are all pertinent and full of extremely valuable information. Synergy also includes a different and novel workout every morning, treatment for trauma, and amazing counseling sessions. That's not even the half of it. I came in here very broken and left a totally new and better person. The owners of Synergy and all the staff here are beyond amazing and they really do take care of you in the best way possible. I have grown to love each and every staff member. I would recommend Synergy Recovery Center for anyone!
I don't know where to start. Synergy has literally changed my life. I am very happy to know that I will always have this place if/when I need them. This is the only place I have ever experienced where I can honestly stop and really put focus on myself. The Staff is exceptional, Ms Wendy the chef is amazing both as a person and a chef. The house is wonderful, very serine and cozy. Being with a smaller group of women, you feel very comfortable in class and process to be able to really talk about your feelings. There is no judgement or discrimination. The structured schedule is just perfect. It's not too much to keep up with or discourage you, at the same time it keeps you busy. I can not express enough how grateful I am for this wonderful journey. Synergy will always hold a special place in my heart.
