Texas Health Behavioral Health Center Southwest Fort Worth a range of treatment options for adults and adolescents with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. The facility offers detox, outpatient, partial hospitalization (PHP), residential, and intensive outpatient (IOP) care. TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Texas Health Behavioral Health Center Southwest Fort Worth’s treatment practices begin with a free assessment, followed by faith-based programming directed toward treating the client’s mind, body, and spirit. A variety of therapy types including 12-Step programming is incorporated into treatment practices. Clients needing detox services can be enrolled in the program following the initial assessment. Detox services are overseen by trained professionals in an inpatient setting.
Based on each client’s needs, treatment methods are recommended. The majority of the facility’s patients will be enrolled in one of the inpatient programs. Clients participate in 12 steps-based treatments as well as individual and group counseling. This includes directed programs for specific behavioral health programs as well. Clients have access to medical and behavioral health care around-the-clock during inpatient programs.
Outpatient programs are available for clients with behavioral health issues as well. Clients participate in many of the same treatments and inpatient program participants. The facility’s inpatient programming for adolescents aged 12 to 17 includes symptom reduction and mental health care. The facility encourages family participation and a weekly psycho-education component on topics such as peer pressure, healthy relationships, and psychiatric conditions.
Specialized outpatient treatment programs for women, young adults (aged 18 to 25), working professionals, and members of the LGBTQ community are also available. Participation in these programs involves therapy to address specific issues and help clients overcome behavioral health problems. They provide a supportive atmosphere for clients. Clients can be transitioned into aftercare groups at the completion of the program which are offered weekday evenings.
Texas Health Resources employs medical physicians, behavioral health psychologists, social workers, and counselors that are highly trained to address behavioral health issues. Medical detox and other medical practices are overseen by credentialed, licensed, and certified medical professionals. Staff is on-site 24 hours per day.

Although she disliked the no-smoking rule, alum Sarah indicated that the family participation, staff's level of training and experience, the faith-based focus, and treatment for co-occurring disorders were strengths of the facility, giving these categories four- or five-star ratings. Sarah wrote: "This rehabilitation center helped strengthen my relationship with God. I learned things in class that I still use on a daily basis."
She noted that the facility could improve on their holistic options, giving this category only two out of five stars. She also indicated that affordability was another area that needed improvement, giving it three out of five stars.

Self-pay is also accepted through checks and cash. Financial assistance is available to clients whose family income is at or below 200 percent of the federal poverty guidelines.
