Founded more than 20 years ago, New Beginning Fellowship Center offers residential and outpatient treatment based on the 12-Steps, for individuals struggling with problematic substance use, including alcoholism, as well as dual diagnosis. The facility is located on a suburban street in Orange County, Southern California.

The New Beginning Fellowship Center offers residential treatment in increments of 30, 60, and 90 days.

Though the facility pledges to provide a comprehensive approach to addiction, drawing on "body-mind-spirit therapies," the center's website does not specify which holistic methods it favors. It does, however, note that clients participate in daily therapy and 12-step meetings, and receive education about alcohol, drugs, addiction, and recovery. Similarly, though the facility's website explicitly mentions the treatment of dually diagnosed clients, and gives stern advice about the recommended components of such programs, the site does not commit to any dual diagnosis modalities actually in use at the New Beginning Fellowship Center — though there's a suggestion that dually diagnosed clients might be referred to structured assistance following treatment at the facility.

A three-month intensive outpatient program (IOP) is available as either entry-level or step-down care, and includes individual therapy, group therapy including specialty groups, self-help sessions, and educational lectures. During the course of the IOP, clients have an opportunity to focus on key issues such as trauma, relapse, and codependency.

Though the facility's website discusses the importance of aftercare, and mentions in particular sober-living homes and general outpatient therapy, it does not confirm whether any of these are available through the New Beginning Fellowship Center.

In addition to these traditional treatment modalities, the facility offers outreach services for young adults (aged 13–17) who are at risk of becoming chemically dependent, anger management coaching for adolescents and adults, and prevention and treatment programming for child abuse.

According to the New Beginning Fellowship Center's website, the team consists of accredited and board-certified counselors.

Pictures published on the facility's website show a single-story, suburban family home, decorated in a sparse and somewhat dated style. Residents sleep in shared bedrooms, and in their free time, may enjoy a communal sitting room with a TV, a full kitchen, and, outdoors, a grill and a few pieces of exercise equipment.

REVIEWS has not yet received any reviews from this facility’s alumni, affiliated friends or family members, or staff, however, secondary sites did yield some feedback at the time of this writing, and it was mostly positive: the facility had average ratings of four stars based on four reviews on Google, 4.7 stars based on seven reviews on Facebook (where the center can manage its own page), and on CiteHealth, a one-star rating, a four-star rating, and a five-star rating.[1] [2] [3] The 14 reviews featured just two one-star ratings, of which only one was accompanied by any commentary: an anonymous reviewer on CiteHealth, who wrote that the center had taken money from their family but not helped them.

However, the positive reviewers, who were in the majority, repeatedly described the New Beginning Fellowship Center as very caring, and some even noted that the center had changed their lives. "This is the greatest life changing program you will experience," K.A. wrote in one such review on Facebook; "Great place that really cares," C.G. added in another on Google.

According to its website, the New Beginning Fellowship Center accepts most insurances as well as self-pay using major credit cards.
