Located in Huntington, N.Y., WellLife Network is a private nonprofit organization, which make up about 71 percent of all treatment facilities in New York; it is one of the 579 (68.8 percent) of New York facilities that offers outpatient treatment services. The organization maintains three outpatient substance abuse treatment facilities in Suffolk County, N.Y. Outpatient programs, located in Huntington, Smithtown, and Wyandanch, offer specialized programs for adolescents, women, and men with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. Additional services are provided for DUI/DWI offenders. Detox is not available on site. Aftercare services are also available.


According to WellLife Network's website, after clients undergo an initial assessment, they receive a personalized care plan from WellLife Network’s clinical and psychiatric staff. Treatment plans typically include family therapy, alcohol and drug psycho-education classes, and group counseling sessions.

Clients participate in counseling sessions focused on addressing common behavioral and psychiatric issues. Family involvement is encouraged throughout the process including in special family sessions designed to rebuild clients’ support networks. Group topics include anger management in recovery, relapse prevention, and addiction in the family.

The center also offers vocational counseling, and is one of the 440 (52.3 percent) of New York treatment facilities to offer self-help groups. To accommodate work and school schedules, evening sessions are available.

WellLife Network provides educational courses in the community and during treatment to help promote prevention over treatment. Courses in substance abuse education, prevention, and sober living skills are available, and the facility partners with a wide range of community members to provide educational services to the community.

Upon completion of outpatient treatment, clients may also take advantage of the organization’s aftercare program and additional behavioral health services. The Care Management Program provides referrals to other community-based treatment programs, and individuals who are seriously and persistently mentally ill may also benefit from the center’s supportive, long-term housing facilities.


According to the facility’s website, WellLife Network employs an experienced and multidisciplinary staff. The facility employs counselors and accredited education specialists. It also partners with various community partners for outreach operations.

The six people to leave Google Reviews at the time of this writing gave 4.2 out of five stars, and mostly positive commentary. "Good operation," Steve wrote in a representative review. [2]

At the time of this writing, the facility maintained a 3.8 out of five star rating on Indeed based on 24 reviews. Employees praised the fair working environment and the staff. Some employees criticized the administrative and management staff, and noted the center was understaffed. [3]

"I enjoyed feeling apart of the team at each morning meeting that was held. I felt supported by the other staff," a therapist wrote in a representative review.
