Been doing telemedicine with her for a while, and due to finances, I wanted very short term therapy and though I tried to pin her down on how many sessions I'd need, she refused to give me that, which looking back, I understand. Lucky for me, I was in and out in eight visits, which my work covered partially. I was initially on the fence about seeing her because of her fee (she's more expensive than the other therapist I checked with), but I went with my gut because when I talked to her over the phone, she not only took her time and spent as long as I needed, for free, but she actively told me that she encouraged me to reach out to other therapists so I wouldn't haveI've to pay more than I'm comfortable with, she gave me some referrals. But I decided to see her and it's been worth it; she gives assignments and structure because I asked for it, and also talked to my psychiatrist, which helped me feel like I have a team.

What I've really learned about recovery is that none of us can do it alone. Most of us are uneducated about the disease of addiction and need assistance in unraveling the mystery. I cannot guarantee sobriety for anyone, but what I can guarantee you is that you will have every opportunity to learn and live a better life than you ever dreamed possible! I would be privileged to assist you in your journey of recovery....because none of us can do it alone.

Selecting Bakersfield Treatment Centers
People who enter Bakersfield addiction treatment programs often begin their addiction careers by drinking alcohol. It’s a common gateway drug, and according to research, young people who start drinking may view alcohol as a completely harmless substance. For example, according to a poll conducted at California State University, Bakersfield, teens felt that getting drunk at a party was acceptable, and some boys even expressed support for driving after drinking. It’s easy to see how this lax feeling about substance abuse could lead to addiction, but thankfully, Bakersfield drug detox programs can help people to develop more realistic views about addiction, and learn how to control the damage it can cause.Benefits of Going to a Drug Detox Facility

Living in a permissive culture means that most people who have addictions don’t quite understand how they developed, or how they can be stopped. Addiction treatment programs can provide a much-needed sense of perspective.

In a Bakersfield treatment center, you’ll learn how all of these factors play a role in your addiction:
  • Your family history
  • Your friends
  • Your stress-control habits
  • Your romantic relationships

With this knowledge, you can make lasting changes that can help you to resist the lure of temptation and maintain your sobriety in the years to come.

A Personal Decision

If your family has chosen a rehab facility for you, don’t feel pressured to stick with that facility, no matter what. In fact, if there’s something about the facility you don’t like, you owe it to yourself to keep looking for the right fit. Addiction treatment is so important, and the decision really is up to you, so take your time and make sure you’re comfortable.

Locating Treatment Programs in Bakersfield

Addiction treatment programs provide lifesaving help, and since the programs are so important, you’ll want to make sure to choose just the right program to help you overcome your addiction issue. Finding a program like this in Bakersfield is easier than you might think. In fact, your family members and friends may have already looked for programs to help you, especially if they held a formal intervention in order to help you see the damage your addiction was causing.

If your family has not done this sort of research and you don’t know where to begin, don’t worry. Just call us. We have experts ready to take your call, 24 hours per day. We’ll help you find a program that’s just right for your needs.
